Pcsxbox (unresponsive Controller)

Hey guys I posted this problem a while back but could not find an answer. Basically pcsxbox works fine and loads my games fine however as soon as I start a game it will sit at the title menu because the controller does not work. The emulation controls work fine (ex. main menu, navigation through menus, speed up, frame skip etc.) but the game does not read any input. I have already tried remapping my buttons and stuff and I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this problem and can offer a soultion? Thanks for any help.

Go into CPU options and turn SIO IRQ(I don't know if I spelt that right but it is not SPU IRQ, it's the other one with IRQ in it)
