Is it possible to transfer save states from VisualBoy Advance on a PC to XboyAdvance on an Xbox? Thanks.

Sounds like it should. They are both essentially the same emulators on different systems but I don't know for sure.

Well, I don't know exactly where to put the save state files on my Xbox. I can look, but if someone knows where they should be placed, that would be helpful, thanks.

I found where to put the save files, but I noticed something. When you make a save in XboyAdvance It makes several different file types: .key, .sav, and .stg. When you save in VisualBoy Advance you only get two different file types: .sgm and .sav. So that means the only corresponding file format is .sav. I'm going to experiment a little more, but if anyone has any thoughts or ideas, they're more than welcome.

im guessing all you'll need is the .sav
the .key and .stg occur when you first play a game
there to save the configuration settings and something else

Its a simple case of just copying the .sav from the PC version over to the xbox in, /E:/SAVES/XBOYADVANCE/ and making sure that is renamed the same as the rom, ie. ROM:mariogolf.gba Save:mariogolf.sav. You dont need to transfer any other files apart from .sav.

I wish it were that easy, but it doesn't seem to be working. If anyone else has had any luck with this, let me know, I could be doing something wrong, but as far as I can tell, it looks like I'm gonna have to start a new game...oh well

It is that easy, I've just tried it with Mario Golf and Banjo Kazooie and it worked for both of them.
