Windows Games On Xbox
« on: June 18, 2004, 01:23:00 PM »

I'm wondering, with all the ports of PC emulators to Xbox, is there ANY possibility that a PC game could be made playable on the Xbox.  Maybe use the hard disk for storing a virtual image, or maybe get it to run from the CD.

The game I'm wondering about would be the PC version of Twisted Metal 2.  It took a pentium-133 to run, and all music and movies were stored on the CD.  I know it was also on PlayStation, I had that one too, but the PC version has network capabilities, and enhanced graphics...

Maybe I'm a complete NOOB when it comes to the power of the Xbox, but with all the PC emu's having been ported, I thought I would ask.

Sorry, I kind of think in more General terms...as in emulation being a machine running a program that lets it act as a different machine  :)

Is there an easy way to place the topic in another place?

try installing linux and using WINE. I think other people have gotten it to work fine with pc games, just there is no 3d card support, only software

Would the memory upgrade make it run smoother?
