Hello all

I have recently got my xbox moded.  I have been experimenting with it and trying new things out.  I downloaded an Atari 2600 emulator and it worked great.  I now have hundreds of games for it.  I then wanted to try out Surreal64.  The interface seems to load and work fine but I can’t seem to get any of my roms to show up.  I don’t really know where I should be storing the roms either.  I have tried putting them in the main folder with the software, and I have also tried creating a specific folder for “Roms” but neither seems to work?

What extension should the roms have?  There seems to be a few different kinds (.rom, .v64, some roms seem to be .zip, .exe too)?

I understand there are many posts already regarding this but I didn’t really understand them.  I was hoping someone could help me out.

Thanks very much,
Procaine

Make sure your roms are in the F drive.  For some reason Surreal doesn't support roms in the E or G drives. :(   Well, at least it doesn't work for me, but everything runs fine off the F drive.

I'll have to put them on c:\

F: and is it z: have like 749 megs free, but anything i put there gets erased. I'm guessing since i did not format or change anything when I installed everything.

too much lies in this topic.

Surreal Support E: and G:

and yes... xyz are for cache.

again im gonna write a tutorial for Surreal roms.

First of all if you havent launched surreal in your xbox...its very simple.

just before you ftp it to xbox...be sure to edit the rompath in the surreal.ini

(edit it with the notepad)

done... launch surreal (first time) and be sure the roms are in the folder of your rompath.

NOW...IF U ALREADY LAUNCH SURREAL IN YOUR XBOX.

you have to edit what i said. and other surreal.ini that is already in

E:/tdata/a64eda7 (or something like that)

edit both...refresh and done...

this is the real deal... people having troubles with it... trying to fix it...
stop with stupid theories.

fix this and enjoy.

im so tired of this.

because of people like you...that doesnt even
think a little how...tired of these surreal topics we re.

someday we´re gonna leave the scene...for these boring topics.
we´re not your teachers..

you´ve to learn how to fix things by yourself

we had to try a lot of things before the scene.
i havent learn all my xbox experience from here..
i´ve learn trying different things in the xbox.

im gladly tell you how to fix something. but these surreal topics have to stop
3 topics per day are just stupid.

so please people in the scene...think twice before posting topics about things we´ve already discussed.

i help you in anyway i can. but stop this surreal topics.

Thank you asher.

I really appreciate all of your help.  I finally got it to work.  I didn’t know that there was another surreal64.ini file in the E drive.

Like I said I really appreciate your help but I don’t understand why you seem to be so bitter.  I have read many of the other posts on this subject and I didn’t really understand them so I created my own post.  If you don’t want read any more posts on the subject then you have every right, and freedom not to read them.  I would have had to wait, and hope, that someone else could help me.

…anyway no big deal, I just don’t know why you are taking it all so personally.
