This was actually covered 2 posts above your one.
Do you notice crackly/stuttery audio when you run it in BASIC audio mode?

A lot of people claim that, I've been playing and it works fine.  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

hey, I did notice that there was some other advice on Zelda OOT.  I do get sound glitches. I also saw that someone else had mentioned using an audio plug in and resolved that issue but then the 2d shit was not fixed. I do not know the solution but my best guess is that a sound plug in is the answer.Obviously not the alzemiers or whatever or the jttl. Anybody try any new ones???? I am obsessed with Zelda so please let me know. uhh.gif

Some games won't run 100% correctly, it's the very nature of emulation.
It does run pretty well though, even if it does get some glitches on the pause menu etc,
the main games runs pretty well, considering its running on an Xbox.
I just use the JTTL audio, & deal with the menu glitches.

If Surreal v2 had ever come out, then we may not have these issues, sadly it never came to be.

Hey, Important message for Zelda Ocarina Of Time!!!!!!!!

If you are using an audio plug in, it will/may hinder your fishing experience!!!!!!

I could not set the hook for the life of me and tried to configure the analog sensitivity in every different way.
I then switched the sound to Basic Audio and it remedied the problem.

So for anyone who is playing Zelda OOT, I hope this helps because it sure pissed me off a great deal!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

you can save games by using savstates you will see this in the options, basically you can turn off your xbox then load up your last savstate when turned back on and start from where you left off.

Anyone got a good settings for Mario kart. I'm playing two players right now and I have a lot of slowdown and the music is awful!

Thx

Use Surreal 64 1.0 and the game runs fine.
I think that Surreal 64 1.0 is the best surreal version for the most game.

That's an almost 4 year old post.

The correct answer would be:
Surreal64 B5.1 CE
1964
Rice 5.30 or 5.60
Vid: 4MB (Maybe 6MB)
Dyna: 8MB
Page: 6MB

These settings didn't work properly in some of the versions between 1.0 and 5.1, but with 5.1 you'll get no slowdown whatsoever.

That's an excellent reply Greatant, well done.

I'm going to be making a new version of this thread so that I can update the main page, seeing as it hasn't been updated since september 2005.

The new version will be for surreal64 B5.1 CE, and will also list which video plugin has been found to give the best performance.

I will also post my surreal.ini file for people to download and test the setting with their own setup.
