I recently started to play Super Mario 64 a bit more and ive noticed a problem that really sucks because it prevents me from getting a star...

In course 9, star 3, 'Pole-Jumping for red coins', when i go through the underwater tunnel and to the area where im suppose to pole jump for the red coins...there are no poles on the ceiling...I remember when playing the original cart there were...but there doesnt seem to be any for some odd reason...the rom ver im using seems to be the (U) ver (thats what it says when surreal loads the game)

Anyone know a way to fix this?  Could it be the rom?  (that'd suck because Ive already collected over half of the stars in the game hahah)

This happens in both 1964 and UltraHLE.

Any help appreciated!

*EDIT*:  bah...i rebooted the box and for some reason that fixed the problem...

If anyone has a problem in a N64 game that they have played alot but won't work and don't know what to do with their savegame, here's what you can do, go into the TDATA folder on the E: drive and there should be a folder that starts with AEF.  In there will be your N64 game saves from your massive playtime, ftp those to your cpu and back them up till you find a newer or updated emu that works.   biggrin.gif

Hey Guys!  Long time no see!   I haven't been here at the forums lately because my Xbox died on me about 3 months ago.  In about 2 weeks or so, I should have enough money to buy a new one, and then I can start adding to the list again.  Until then, please try to do with what I have already.

Well you guys, Im going to leave this thread alone until Surreal 2 comes out.  Then I'm going to add a lot of games to the list because I'm buying a 200gb HD VERY soon so I wont have to worry bout loading my xbox up to the fullest (I DO have other things on there you know, Music, Videos (Mainly Aqua Teen Hunger Force and South Park Episodes), A Movie (Starsky and Hutch) and not to mention all of my other roms (SNES, NES, GB)

BUMP!

I reckon this topic should be up on the main page since a new version of Surreal came out recently.

And I am wondering , is there much difference between Surreal beta 2 and the new beta 4 version ?

I'm wondering can anyone tell me how these games play in the newest version.

Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2. Mario Golf and Mario Tennis. And do any of the Zelda games play perfectly yet ?

And do you think we will ever have an accurate Surreal compatibility list ? I don't :(

And I like this one better then the normal Surreal compatibillity thread, because at least this one, tells you the best settings to use, which is very helpful.

rolleyes.gif) and didn't have a single problem throughout th game.

Goldeneye...  Your best bet is UltraHLE + Messing with controller sensitivity.  I couldn't for the life of me get that thing running under the other two emulators using every know combination of Video Plugins and Settings known to man.  They both ran slow and very much unplayable.

Perfect Dark...  Rice Video 5.31 and if I remember correctly PJ64.  This game still runs too slow but can by some MAYBE considered playable, depending on how obssessed you are with playing this game.

In conclusion, I deleted both Goldeneye and Perfect Dark...

wink.gif

I think I'm setting a record for fuckups tongue.gif but the other 2 were exploited.  This new one was done up right.  I said screw this and bought me one of them there Xecuter3 CE chips.  While I'm at it, let me tell you about my xbox history:

1st Xbox:  Bought it just for an Xbox!  Didn't know crap about modding or taking it apart and didn't really know much about it until I went to find an Xbox community.  Low and behold I found this place.  That's when I started reading.  Low on cash and deteremined to find out what the hell all this stuff was about, I went with XlinuX ohmy.gif!  First attempt failed, error 21 but at least I could still play my games!  month later did some research and fixed it and the first dash I used was UnleashX.  Got familiar with modding and the journey began.  Started using Avalaunch as my dash and then one day out of curiosity (remember, font modded) went into Ava options and unlocked the drive but it wouldn't relock so I'm like fine because the password was on the same screen.  Went to get something to write with and as soon as I reentered the room it shut off.  I was like WTF!?!  Make a LOOONNNG story short, HD ended up getting locked with wrong password and could NOT be unlocked.

2nd Xbox:  Still actually works.  No top on it, bottom is silver (BAD paint job screwup) and the fan controller shorted out so it's ghetto rigged to 12 volts (not the stock fan.  Couldn't deal with that so I bought a cool red 80mm)  Kept that until I bouth my new one and gave the old one to my friend, which I think he used ONCE to play Forza Motorsport.

3rd:  My Baby biggrin.gif.  This one does not and will not hav a paintjob, it's all together and is shiny and new looking except for the X3 switch panel on the bottom left.  I love this thing.

Anyways, In the time it took me to type this I could have updated that list so let me get back to work.

some dude named Mr. Chips went and posted that a while back, looks like he got his ass banned for posting some links to torrent sites which don't work any more.
Do a search and you'll find it.
