Edit:  I just looked at a FAQ, and it seems that there is a way to beat the game.  I seem to remember getting to a boss and not being able to beat him because Knuckles just couldn't jump high enough.  I still think that Sonic 2 & Knuckles is far from the best Sonic game.  I pick Sonic 3 & Knuckles, that is the one I played the most and had the most fun with.  I actually beat that game with all of the Super Emeralds with every character and combination: Sonic, Tails, Sonic + Tails, and Knuckles.  Good stuff.

Yup, I played all the sonic games when I was five years. My dad bought me a Sega Megadrive with 2 pads and whole days long I was sitting there. Oh yes, those where the days. Now....I just played  Sonic Heroes... sad.gif O my god. Well I don't have to say much, you guys know what it is to play with shit. "Leave it to Sonic"   sleeping.gif

Sonic 3 was quite good but the save feature sort of ruined it as you could start from where you left off without having to restart from scratch.

Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 with Knuckles. I never had a sega system past the sega cd so I havent' touched the others.

I was talking about them as seperate games, not when you plug Sonic 2 into S&K.

Sonic 3 w/ S&K is my fav, but Sonic Adventures was fun too. The choas where the best part. I rember having a level 99 gold one that beat everyone. Sonic Heros got rid of them which pissed me off on top of an already sucky game.

Edit: Is Sonic CD playable on NeoGenesis? Never played it, but I'm guessing it works.

I really like the Sonic Adventure games, though I haven't gotten a chance to play Sonic Heroes, yet.  My favorite classic Sonic game would have to be Sonic 3 and Knuckles (S3 + S+K Cart).

I'm with this guy. Sonic 3 & Knuckles was just awesome. It combined the levels of both games (making it a complete story finally), let you play as Knuckles, Sonic, Tails, or Sonic & Tails, AND it allowed you to save!! Not to mention it featured the best special stages a sonic game has ever seen. Sonic Team should seriously port this game to GBA so the kids of today can play it.
