im playing the beta version of sonic advance 3
and its awesome...i consider myself a big fan of sonic.
i enjoyed even sonic heroes...
which sonic game do you think its the best?

I quite like sonic pocket adventure for my ngpc (i actually own an ngpc, the emu's for this system all suck), its basically the megadrive sonic 2 but reworked. I still love original sonic on megadrive though. All sonic games are good, theres just something about them  smile.gif

Sonic Adventure part 1 on the Dreamcast...

...with the voices in Jap of course because I CAN NOT stand the dialog in English!
It's so sad that many good games end up with gay cartoons based on them (megaman cough cough).

I've yet to check out that Beta, think I'll do so tonight.

Sonic Advance 3 looks just like the other Sonic Advances...but they added somewhat of a Sonic Heroes twist to it. Apparently you can use two chars at the same time (as opposed to SH's 3 chars).

Anyway the Sonic Advance games suck, the Sonic Adventure series sucked, and Sonic Heroes took the entire new Sonic genration deeper into hell.

What ever happened to getting 50 rings and going to a special stage through the big ring  at the end of the level? Or finding bonus stages at continue markers...or finding big rings throughout the level?

Whatever happened to obtaining all 7 (or 14 from Sonic 3 & Knuckles) chaos / super emeralds and becoming Super / Hyper - Sonic / Knuckles / Tails at any point in the game instead of the last stage?

I haaaate the new Sonic generation simply because Super Sonic is always saved for the last "chase" level...

S3&K did it best...instead of making every single boss a "chase" boss, they had Doomsday Zone...boy those were the good ole days...

Anyway my favorite sonic game is SONIC CD by far...best soundtrack of any (non rpg) game...

sonic adavance 3 is looking wierd on xboyadvance 9.
It looks like it's playing too fast for the emu or something like that.

i couldn't agree more, the sonic advance series sucks ass.  i think their unneccisary "graphical updates" are getting in the way of good level design and original gameplay aspects that made the original games so good.

you kiddies need to go back and play the real sonic games like 1-3, sonic cd, and s&k...  sonic cd was the pinnacle of sonic games.  it had an amazing soundtrack, a new dimention of gameplay (each level had three variants), and no annoying extra characters...  well except for amy... but you barely ever saw her.

sonic spinball was mildly entertaining also, and i kinda liked the first installment of sonic adventure although it failed in comparison to any of it's predicessors

sonic adventure 2 was way to linear and when a game series starts introducing a shitload of cheesy new characters, you know they are running out of ideas. dry.gif

i never played sonic heros and i never plan to...

By the way, when sonic is running, his feets is not moving as they did in the good old Genesis days sad.gif ...
The levels are crappy 2!
No Green Hill look alike etc...

I must say Sonic 2 and Sonic CD are the best sonic games ive played... then sonic on Game Gear...

the rest of the sonics suck, but I did have fun playing as the dark sonic in Sonic Adventure 2...
