Ya, this program does have it's short comings, but all in all I am willing to deal with it in order to give up having to use the keyboard, since right now it is kinda hard to use a keyboard and mouse from my bed.

The sound kinda sux ya, but then again, all sound sucked back then so I am not to worried about it sounding exactly right (same goes for Atari 2600 emulation) I just turn it off or down most the time anyhow.

And the commands are sometimes hard to figure out, such as is the case in Space Quest 2.

Where you are at the edge of the swamp and have to rub the berries on your body so the slug doesn't eat you. You have to choose  TOUCH BERRIES BODY

in order for it to work. That took me forever to figure out, but thankfully it does give you some hints when you are getting warmer.

He gave me the same responce, saying that he was porting this to other consoles, which I assume means the Dreamcast!



Now, has anyone been playing Space Quest 2? I am beginning to wonder if the game is completable at all. There is a part where you have to throw a rock at a guard with your jock strap, but I can not tell it to throw at the alien, only to throw it in general. Also you need to put a Card in a Slot to use the elevator, but the only word that comes up is SLOTS, and if I say USE SLOTS, it will not compute. :/

I know you can sneak past the guard instead of killing him, but then how do you insert the card into the slots(s)?

What word combo did you use?

P.S. The author said when he has time he be fixing crap like this.

I just tried this again from a saved game. I just walk straight into the lift and end up on the shuttle platform above. Maybe there are different versions of the game with respect to this part. I did already have the card that I collected from the body of one of the henchmen who take you at the beginning. It was quite difficult to get though (explore alien).
