0 does something but whatever it is, it's not metroid friendly, it screws up the timing hard core!

Personally, I liked the lack of any story text in this one. It's pretty short, I beat it in under 3 hours, first try. I'm certainly going to buy it, as well... my main beef with Fusion was that you couldn't go back to certain areas after you'd done certain things in the game.
In Zero Mission, there's a little bit of that, but just one big story arc change (I won't spoil it, but I loved it.)
In case anyone else has beaten it, do you know how to get power bombs before that happens? There's a bunch of yellow doors I can't get back to...

I have some complete area maps somewhere, if you want them, pm me, but I'm pretty sure you can get back to them from the last area (sorry if thats a spoiler...).

I beat this game this morning though only at 58% so I may go back through it all again, but now I'm onto Sonic Heroes! smile.gif

The new twist at the end was pretty kool, it DEFINATLY changed the game play element to Metroid like never before, beyond that I can say no more as not to spoil it for those still working towards the end.

Too bad this one was shorter than the others, was a bit too easy, and too guided as well. There's not quite as much exploration in Metroid as there used to be. Another change to the GFX that I noticed aside of the switch to the toonish look was that Samus in now Blond. WTF!!!???

Speaking of which, how come all girls die there hair blond?  A natural black or brown would be a NICE change from this hideous trend.

So um ya, this game ruled, can't wait for the next installment, hope they decide to remix some other old classics some day like this. Kid Icarus is LONG over due! Same goes to Sega and Alex Kidd.

BTW, if I had beaten this on my GBA, and did not know about emulation, I would be shitting my pants when I discovered that the original Metroid is packed in with this game as an unlockable. Kool move fron Nintendo.

QUOTE

Umm... no. I'm currently running on the default 2 frame skip.

So try 3.

since this a metroid thread, tee-hee, how do you do the morph ball speed dash?? and also, i'd like to know how to get to the previous yellow doors before you beat the game?? This game totally kicks ass!! I agree it's a little short, personally, I love blonds!!! I'll have to do better than 3:00 flat to see more skin. All I get is her not wearing her helmet. Great great game!!!
