QUOTE (lantus)
lucky folks who have 128Megs in their Xbox , surreal will take advantage of it

as a test ive bumped up the pagefile size to 8 megs and used a 16 meg dynarec on a 128 Meg system and its run almost perfect with no stutter.

so Lantus never plays huh?  guess that means he never made that video of himself playing perfect dark on 128 mbs of ram either than.  what a shame  tongue.gif

I think the sad thing is, when your hobby is a time-consuming aspect of something bigger (IE - writing an emulator) your time for the games gets cut.  I used to sell games on Ebay in my free time, and I had almost no time to play them.  Got a better job, and quit selling altogether.

Remember, the DreamCast never played SNES9X full speed because of it's 200Mhz processor!

so how then does Bleem on the DC run at fullspeed?

well the playstation is less powerful, that's a reason. Also each bleem version is specifically optimized for the 3 games it was released to play.

true, the DC is more powerful than the PSX.  However, Lantus was asking why the DC would run some playstation games full speed and not run all SNES games full speed.
It's because Bleem! DC was written from scratch.  DreamSNES was a port of SNES9X.
