Try 1.0 U !   It is working totally fine for me.  I get a few graphic glitches here and there, but it's definately playable, and one of the better emulated games.

I don't see any need to get a leaked version for it.  Mine is running fine.

And I use 1964 with Azimer audio and default settings for everything.

Anyone else take forever to load up the items screen when you press start and get Link's room as the background in 1.0 (U) [!]?

I also have the problem with Surreal's UltraHLE not being able to load my Zelda: OoT rom when the previous stand alone port was able to just fine.

No, there was some audio work done (which causes the compatibility differences between the leak (RC2) and the 1.0 public) and the mem pak/ rumble pak switching.

Yeah, I get this time, also running the same version ROM as you =(
And I'm playing in 1964.

Anyway, as everyone else has been saying, it's definitely playable, I...

**MAYBE MINOR SPOILERS IF YOU'VE NEVER PLAYED IT BEFORE**

(highlight to read it easier)
just turned into adult Link and got the Master Sword and stuff.

It's about.. something like 8-12 hours in?

From the PJ64 FAQ:

ZeldaOoT, why does the subscreen take a long time to appear?

This is a known issue with the core of the emulator. You could use F4 to disable the limiter and reduce the time, or be patient! Some users report they don't have this problem or it goes away during the game. BTW the other Zelda game isn't effected.

Is there a reason why the UltraHLE version in Surreal wont run OoT when the previous stand alone port did?

Zero:

I have asked that question a plenty of times and never got an answer.  sad.gif
Im sure the devs are aware of this and are looking into it. But playing zelda on 1964 with rumble is pretty damn amazing.  biggrin.gif  (Never had a rumble pak on the N64)

To be honest I would never play Zelda again on anything based on ultrahle. I played it 2/3's of the way through way back in 98 on a P2 333 & voodoo 1. I got to a point which I couldn't get past it really frustrated me until finally I got a friend to play it who'd completed it and he said there was something wrong. I bought an N64 and Zelda a few days later which started my love affair with (some) Nintendo games.

I've been playing it for sometime with 1964 and there's a problem with his shadow sometimes that's all I've really noticed (Doesn't detract in anyway). I'm just not looking forward to the Lens of Truth (Don't think it's fixed in 5.3.0 either).

I'm in the Ice world at the mo.

Also, the hearts don't display correctly for me. It doesn't show half-hearts (there were half-hearts, right?), the farthest right one doesn't have that little magnifying effect and finally, this is hard to explain but when hearts are missing, the farthest one on the right that's supposed to be empty skips a place (if this happens to you, you'll know what I'm talking about...) Again, this is on 1964 with default settings.
