The NFO never said who ported this to the XBOX, so who ever did it, I am eternally greatful!

I've gotta run to town, but when I get back, you can be sure I'll be tearing this one apart as Ultima 7 (both parts) was one of the BEST RPG"s ever made, I can't wait!

I completed The black gate all those years ago, I'd recommend this to any retro gamer. I won't be tearing into this one as the Black gate took up the best part of 6 solid weeks in front of the computer with a friend. I simply don't have that sort of time to plough into a computer game these days and I believe Serpent Isle was even bigger.

A fore warning for anyone thinking of downloading U7 you need the cloth map (which came with original) to get around the copy protection.

I agree with Xdelusion best RPG ever (A real pity Ultima 8 was shit), I'm deeply involved in completing Zelda:oot on Surreal 64 but Ultima 7 makes it look like a short story.

Thanks Stealth! I've had Ultima Collection for some time, mainly because I wanted to play the first four games again. Never even gave Ultima VII a look until now, but it's quite fun.

Well, first game related project.

You may know me from such projects as the Phoenix Bios Loader tongue.gif.

My ONLY request (at this point) is that the edges of the screen need to come in just a TAD bit more so that the text does not run off the edge of the screen. Other than that it seems VERY playable. Thankx again!

EDIT: Oh wait, read the docs, nevermind! Didn't expect that, you rock man! ohmy.gif)

P.S. I'm sure DOSBox can pull it off, but if not, you are aware of the Open Source clone of Ultima 4 written for the SDL lib right?

Aghh ha! Found something to bitch about!!!

Ok I dunno if this is something you could easily implement or not, it is really not too necessary, but I think it would really help alchoholics and people with short term memory...

An extra Option in the In Game Menu screen that shows the player what controlls do what. That way they would not have to stop, and load up the READMe file on the PC every now and then to remind themselves.

If it's not easy to add in, then screw em'!

I'm allergic to docs. No actually I just did not expect to see that feature added. You surprised me completely!

I think it was Reaker2k who ported Ultima 4 to the Dreamcast, which I thought was playable from beginning to end, but then I looked at the original project page and you were right, it's not finished yet.

Well when ever it reaches that point it will be kool to have it on the XBOX, I kinda had a feeling you would know about it since you are obviously an Ultima fanatic.

Yes I am planning on porting xu4 (the open source ultima iv you spoke of), but it is not fully playable yet which is somewhat of a drawback.

Looks like Andrew Taylor replied to your question on sourceforge, Stealth. At least it can be completed now in the newer CVS versions.  smile.gif
