Ducati998: You can prolly find a cracked copy or you could do yourself a favor an buy the 1-8 collection on CD for $10 or less new. it is worth it, plus this version of 7 does not require any map to play the game.

now, that i've tested it: nice release, thank you stealth!

one thing i've noticed, i couldn't name my character or any of the savegames using the keyboard, i had to do it (slowly) with the pad.

if you could fix this and implement the 800x600 option, that would be yust great!

thx

He he he, my Evil inluence spreads! smile.gif

Hmm, I went to play Ultima 7 today, everything was fine till I tried to acess the load save menu...

It now locks up my XBOX. The only thing I have been changing is the screen res, so I set it back to normal and it still does it. sad.gif

I'll try to track down the bug when I get a chance.

Don't go deleting your saves just yet tongue.gif

Or at least backup your /bg/saves and /si/saves folders before you do

This game seriously rocks! I always saw it advertised like crazy in early 90's Game magazines. I wanted to play it only somehow never picked it up.

Anyway, the last two nights I've been playing around with the game. Plays pretty good but better with the keyboard it seems. The main player walks crazy-fast with the D-pad and regular speeds with the arrow keys on the keyboard.

Question to anyone: Are we supposed to hear music all the time or just at certain spots? I get music at the intro I think, but during gameplay its mostly background sounds. (I downloaded the ogg files)

Stealth,

I'm definitely looking forward to Nethack:Falcon's Eye as well.

Unfortunately it looks like work on Falcon's Eye hasn't progressed in years.  Nethack has had at least one major revision in the interim which would make compiling the present Nethack with the Falcon's Eye graphics almost impossible.

I'd be happy just being able to play the present Nethack version using the ANSI/NANSI characters.

Perhaps I should try to get the latest version running under Dosbox

This is possibly a stupid question:  Is exultx still available for d/l?
I'm a big fan of the ultima series - paricularly U6.

I believe Exultx is only for Ultima 7.

By the way, I am also curious where this project stands.  I have been anticipating its revision.
