Tonight I load the rom up and Mario's head (on the title screen) is mostly white

Mine has been that way from the beginning, I haven't tried tweaking the memory settings yet though...

Hmm.  well thats really odd.  Mine was displaying correct for a few days there.  I guess as long as the in-game graphics don't get like that it's fine.  Maybe I'll play around with the memory settings and see what I can find out.

I'm assuming the only settings that will pertain to Ultra HLE is the Max Video Memory setting, and Audio Plug-in.

I am having a problem loading my roms, I already patched the xbe to get the emulator. Now the emulator loads but when I go to select the roms they start loading. It goes from 0 to 100 percent and then the screen just stays black. I seen a couple posts about this, but no replies. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You said xbe. That doesnt sound plural = )

Did you patch the other xbe's the same way? All xbe's need to be patched.

Thanx Iriez that did the trick, I can't wait to try the rest of my roms tomorrow.  biggrin.gif

Even Goldeneye loaded in Ultra HLE.  Is Mario playable/completeable in 1964 or pj-64?

Of course golden eye loaded with ultrahle, thats the emulator your supposed to play with.

And i would play with 1964/pj64 for mario64 over UltraHLE anyday. I dont know why oDD selected it as the default. It should have been one of the others.

I have patched all my .xbe files and still I can't get it past the Xbox loading screen. It just keeps freezing sad.gif

I'm not sure if this matters, but I am running Bios  EVOX 2.2. And I can't reflash it because of my modchip. It is a homebrew chip and the only way to flash it I was told , is to take it out (out it has 32 wires) and flash it manually. And I have no idea how to do that.

So I hope I can still run this with my current Bios. I also have all the in game Reset switches set to OFF.

I Just want to get this working because all of you's are making me jelous with the games you are playing smile.gif

Have you tried patching with xbe patcher aswell? Some people have success patching with dexbe, some success with xbe patch, some with craxtion.

No I have only tried the new version of Craxtion and ADR patcher. After patching it with Craxtion though, ADR patcher says files have already been patched.

And the reason I didn't use xbe patcher is becuase there was no info with it that explained how to use it. So I was just sticking to patching programs I know how to use smile.gif

And this is how I have it on my PC in a folder. I have 2 folders called Media and Roms and have the roms in my rom folder and just made a ISO image. And after I did that I patched the ISO with Craxtion and it said all files patched successfully. SO I don't know what I am doing wrong.

f
To use xbe patcher simply extract the xbepatch.exe (or whatever the filename is) to your c:\ drive

Open up a command prompt and make sure you are at your <c:\>

Put your xbe files in the C:\ aswell. Type xbepatch filename.xbe

Patch all of them.

Then move them back to the folder you used to create the iso.

Also, what are you using to create the iso? I would recommend SimpleXiso

And you havnt tried dexbe yet? You really gotta follow the directions man. You cant expect it to work if you cannot follow the suggestions. Use dexbe to patch, if that doesnt work then use xbe patcher. It isnt a option...if you want it to work you have to try. I have yet to hear of a success story from craxtion...but we'll see.

Also type  twice so they show. The forum code removes them if you only type them once.

Sorry Iriez, that is the folder on my PC where the Emulator was.

And I use ISO maker 1.21.

I will try it first thing in the morning and hopefully I can get this to work.

Yeah I was merely pointing out that HLE was loading the other game just fine.  But thanks for the advice of running Mario in the other emus.  I'll give it a try.

Its really weird how something that works so well for people can work so BAD for people too!

I can get the program to run and I can see all the games listed. The problem I run into is that when I click on Project64 or the Ultra it loads the rom (I see it go to 100 percent) but then it just goes to a black screen and freezes.

I tried to patch the xbe's and still no luck. How you guys do this I have no idea  wink.gif  Guess you just need more patience than I have!

Lower your paging memory and try again. Turn on your debug info by right clicking the analog thumb stick, show debug.

Watch it and see how much free space you have.

my first problem when trying to load surreal from evox was that it hung at the evox load screen then i patchd it with dexbe. the next problem i had was that it would load the rom then hang at a black screen. I fixed the files with GoodN64 but they diddnt do anything. so irez said to patch all the files with the other programs so i patched it with xbepatch and now im back to square one!!!!!!!! after three hours of trying to get it to boot from evox i gotta start all over. Once i get it to boot again can anyone suggest another solution to the game hanging at the black screen after the rom is loaded? Im about to throw my xbox out the window.
