If you are using a softmod (exploit) then your only solution is to use PBL.

Seriously, how many times do i need to say it?

IF PATCHING THE XBE'S DOES NOT WORK THEN YOU MUST USE PBL.

END OF STORY.

Its outlined in the first post quite clearly, but apparently people just have a issue accepting what is said, dont they?

To the user whom post i just deleted.

You are a victim of the above. Dont post on this thread whinning like a 3rd year old when you cannot read the first post, even though you sat there explaining how you read it. You obviously did not, since you missed the part above yes?

Heres how it breaks down.

Exploits suck.

They cause nothing but issues. If you want to use a 'hack' to get your xbox to work, then DONT expect shit to work right. Do it the right way or you will recieve the wrong results.

Anyways for my Surreal64 experience. I tried it out last night since I found time to play with the xbox a little. Surreal hung as expected with both a 4977 and 4976.02 X2 bios patched with big F support. I didn't have enough time last night to go through creating a new BIOS  but will try later this week.

So is anyone else having problems running the 4980.06 and 4980.67 BIOS with Surreal? I just saw one person above who mentioned the new 4980 bios...

Well to answer my own question, I upgraded to my modified 4980.06 tonight and fired up Surreal. Wow this thing is amazing!  beerchug.gif

No more freezes or anything asides from the different  emu/rom combination when I upgraded to 4980.06. Time to play (i mean test) some more...  laugh.gif

I changed the rom path in the regular sureal.ini  then kept reading and saw about chaning it in tdata, so i did that as well but it still will not show my roms... i double checked and made sure they are actually there, and i clicked the load rom button in surreal to refresh but no roms are showing up..

I had the same problem last night. Try this: Go into your MS Dash, delete the surreal 64 game save, and reload surreal back up again. After I did that, my roms showed up fine.

Any help would be much appreciated.  I am having a bit of an odd problem in regards to using surreal, in regards to data transfer. I am using win 98, win commander or ftpx, and only some roms will transfer, while others give me a 426 error, connection closed, file opening failed.  Specifically, this happens with titles like the zeldas and the original mystical ninja. (this is when ftping from pc to xbox). Again, any possible solutions would be much appreciated.  The roms, btw, are a good dump.

BTW, I recommend Xiso for all patching.

There is a 42 character name limit, aswell as restrictions on certian characters. Remove comma's or semicolons from the names, and shorten it.

xISO for patching? As in the first xISO? What hack/mod are you using that you achieved success with xISO?

A 'red' bios offers us no insight. What version bios is it? Try changing it to the latest evolution-x bios first before posting again.

are you saying the hand doesnt move around? Or that there is no boxart? If you cant move, it sounds like your missing media files. Check your media dir and make sure you transfered all the files.
