Hey, great emulator

no complaints but it would be good to have an FPS meter shown while you are playing, not really important, just something i like to see

thanks

That is already in, use the Debug option in the options menu during game play.

This request isn't exactly directed to the authors of Surreal, but instead to all of us int he scene.  I believe it would be more beneficial to instead have a customized .INI file with all the settings / Game for N64, instead of having a Thread in a Forum of what settings work best.  The config file can have all the hand tweaked optimized settings that all the users have deciced work best for them.  Since each of us have a favorite or 2 N64 game, if we work our best to tweak JUST that game, then submit it I think that will be the last step to add the final coat of polish to Surreal64.

If this isn't possible, then can I request a seperate .INI file just for surreal to let users do what I requested above?

I wanted to play Starfox 64 multiplayer, but there were only 3 of us instead of 4, and it wouldn't let us start a game. I guess it thought there was a 4th controller plugged in. Could you fix this?

2) 8-way c-stick.

what is the advantage of an 8-way c-stick when the original console only had 4 c buttons? if 8 way was implemented, it wouldn't do anything because there is no C diagnal. and as far as importing halo controls into golden-eye, i would assume this would be rediculously difficult if its even possible, don't forget that the n64 only had one analog stick and not 2, if you want to use a similar setting so bad just do the best you can customizing the controller.

Yeah that would help outfor games that had stuff that required pressing C-right and C-up simultaneously , like maybe Mortal Kombat 4 or something.

The Star tagging system that shows which emu to use..... it would be great if there was an option in the settings menu to lock all stars.... so that little brother or whomever cannot undo all the hard work you have put into getting it just right.....

I'm not sure if it would work but can't you set the .ini file as read only.

Hey guys, I'm a long time player first time caller.

Love your work, it's proving to be way more entertaining than the "actual" xbox titles on offer.

*Feature request*

I am keen as a bean for ACTION REPLAY/ GAMESHARK support.

Why? For the secret hidden multiplayer level "Back Zone" in Goldeneye. (Based in the "sealed" section of the Facility level)

Eg: http://www.goldeneye.../final/home.htm

Cheers for all the fun you have provided me with lads,

P.S My first born shall be named after the author.....or failing that...uh...I'll call him Roger

While I was playing tonight I thought of an Idea that would probably be simple to incorporate.

As well as (or instead of) the star system to tag wich emu runs the rom the best, I thought it might be cool if you had an orb or circle there that you could change the color of, and have one over each emu.

So... Say the game is Goldeneye, you would see the list of the 3 emulators and above each would be a circle that you could change the color of (blue, orange, red) so that you can tell which emus work and which don't. As well you could have the star so you would know which is the prefered.

In the above example you would have a red circle above 1964, a blue circle over pj64, and a blue circle with a star in it (beside it, above it...whatever) over ultrahle.

You could cycle through the colors by pressing one button (say X)and add a star using another (say Y, as is the current), or you could assign a color to x, y and b and add a star using one of the black and white buttons (I personally think the first option would be the simplest and best).

For the Orbs you could photoshop up 3 different colors of the xbox jelwel (or something else that would look equally as impressive) and in the emu you could just overlay the current star over top.

Just thought this would be cool as the colors go along the same lines as most compatibility lists you see out there.
