5. Ability to save states without using the menu (e.g. both triggers and black to save and both triggers and white to load.)

But how would it know which save slot to save the game to?

Save over the last one used... if you wanted not to you could still use the menu!

Graphics Filters!

HM64 runs at a constant 87 FPS, so filters wouldn't really slow it down.

I would like the ability to disable controllers.

For example, if you are playing Star Fox on a true N64, and select VS, character/vehicle select only appears for the controllers that are currently plugged in.

I'm assuming that Surreal 64 acts as though the controllers are always plugged in, because selecting VS. mode in Star Fox 64 brings up 4  selection screens no matter how many controllers are plugged in.  So if I want to play 2 player VS. Star Fox I have to switch my xbox controller and hit start for the missing players, and then have two ships randomly flying acrossed the screen.

By the way, on a scale from one to awesome, Surreal 64 is SUPER GREAT.

1. ability to choose between rumplepak and controller pak before the game starts so this enables rumple suport by default for all games
2. analog sensitivity
3. preset config settigns for each popular game
4. vsync

I get an error from msdash when quitting from main menu - no error when quitting from in game menu though - oh and of course analogue sensitivity.

but if nothing gets changed or there are no further releases i'll still consider it the best emu on xbox.  surreal64 devs rock!

Ability to resize the main menu for older TVs. On my TV on both Letterbox and Normal settings (in MSDash settings) the right side of the menu is cut off, almost completely covering the buttons on the right side of the screen.
I'm not having this problem with any other peice of Xbox software.

Other then that...and the little things that have already been brought up such as the Multi-Player functions, Master Quest box art, etc. this is the best thing to hit the scene since PSCXbox.

Beautiful UI (Which makes ALL the differance in the world!), great stability, and, so far...I've been able to load up and play about 90 of my roms. that's pretty damn good!

hi i think it would be ice if there could be an adaptoid plugin included to the emu.

Yes! I have mentioned that several times over the last year, but not enough people have an adaptoid to get the attention of the devs... And finding an open-source adaptoid plugin might be tough too. They would have to buy an adaptoid and code it from scratch more than likely  sad.gif

I know that Windows XP can map it w/o drivers, don't know how much help that can be, but give hope to those willing to try to code it in.
I one of the lucky owners of an adaptiod and would LOVE to be able to use it. It's been sitting in a box for over a year now :-P

I really can't think of anything to say, so I'm Really impressed, can't wait to see it when RICE is a little more polished (I has advanced A LOT already) and when it is updated to the latest 1964 core.

True, sort of. It is using DirectX drivers included with windows... It requires DirectX8 or above if I remember from back in the day... Since the Xbox XDK has a lot of DirectX extensions, it is possible to make the plugin, but like I said, the devs would need an adaptoid and enough demand to justify writing the plugin...

Ahh yes....True true

And when I stated without drivers, I should have said without additional drivers.

Another one is the option of an "Turbo" button, ideal to pass those boring moments in certain games if you know what i mean.

On a side note, i know that for some games without sound 1964 uses now on PC one plug in, from Azimer, i think, that is only for those kind of games, An no sound specific plug in. Not sure if its open source and the real name now, but could be a thing to look.

As soon i have more time to play with the emu i will try to make more stuff. smile.gif

edit: yes, resize screen option and analog tweak option would be cool also ^^
