And if it is possible could the Audio Fix version of Project 64 also be ported so that you can play Hydro Thunder with sound and other games which had (no, weak or crackily) sounds.

BTW This Emu Kicks ASS!!!

If you are talking about PJ64 1.5 , its not open source, and probably never will be.

No the Audio Fix version is based on v1.4 and that was open source. The Audio Fix Edition was made by 'Elcipse Productions' or something like that.

So will it be possible to port the Audio Fix Edition of v1.4 for the next version of surreal64?

The nintendo 64 only has room for one pak at a time. The point of emulation is to emulate the N64, and the games are only expecting one pak to be present. It would probably cause alot of problems having to paks installed at once.

I'm sitting here infront of my REAL N64 and I have a Rumblepak with built in memory card in my controller. They were available. It causes no problems.

The readme adresses it. If someone as dumb as me can manage it, im sure you can too ; )

I've been able to pull off some amazing acts of stupitidy!  wink.gif

Actually, I guess I missed that.  I did read most of the readme.

*PART* of the request was for the scans in the first place, but I don't think that's happening.  That would be asking for too much.

i have a tremor pack too.  i'm pretty sure you can't have them both on at the same time though.  there's a switch to choose whether you want the memory card or the rumble pack.

Errr.... not to downplay you, but have you actually peaked at the source and deemed it inefficient?

I'll ask oDD if he can make it configurable (I actually did before release, but he didnt have time).

Yeah, that mempack/rumble pack button on the analog stick is killing me  jester.gif

That, and analog sensitivity are the only "control" related enhancements I am hoping to see  beerchug.gif

biggrin.gif . Also, these are in order of most wanted.

1) Analog/Deadzone settings!!!.

2) 8-way c-stick. And the ability to incorporate Halo controls into goldeneye(so that you control with both analog sticks, you know what I mean)

3) samba and relax support. N64 roms take up alot of space!

4) netplay using x-link. I can't imagine how awesome this would be.

5) cheats/gameshark codes. There are some very cool gameshark codes for goldeneye, like being able to walk over to that secret Island in the dam level.

6)

Can you add a feature so the emulator will remember which roms DON'T load? For example, if you try to load up a certain game with ULTRAHLE and it doesn't load at all, make it show a RED "X" or frown face or something to show you that your xbox will crash if you select that plugin using that rom.
Also is there any way you can put in some sort of "crash protection" ? Like right when the emulator notices that the xbox is running completely out of memory have it reset back to the rom list? Having that in combination with it showing what plugins failed to work would be great! I have been toying with this emulator a lot lately and it would be nice to not have to get up to reset my crashed xbox every other time I attempt to load a new game. Thanks for the great work!

This is a good idea imo. Especially the going back to rom list before crash.

7) add more cores(maybe daedalus, corn, apollo, whatever is open source). This may be a good or bad idea, but maybe some games that still don't work, will work with other cores.

8) for all the lazy people. Being able to reset the game without having to go back to the rom list.

9) being able to use our mp3s for background music at the game selection screen, and while playing  games.

10) If it doesn't use too many resources, maybe the ability to turn on a nice graphics filter such as advancemame2x.

11) Allow the emulator to make me lots of money so I don't have to go to work  tongue.gif .

Odd, Lantus, this is a really impressive emulator, and I have a feeling the next version is going to be way better( with the new video and sound plugins, bug fixes, added features, and hopefully updated 1964 core) . So I want to thank you guys and wish you some good luck with this in the future.

2. Automatic compatibility list creation. (This is a bit of a twist on suggestions by others)

By this I mean a file (XML / INI) that is constantly updated by surreal.

It would log (for each rom loaded and each core selected), if the game started/ended correctly, MAX FPS, Average FPS, how long the game was 'actively' played, what the last operation was (including any parameters) etc (the more exhaustive the better). Additionally, the log would contain header info (like XBOX version, XBOX settings) and perhaps a GUID (the reason will become apparent below)

The point is…
A simple WIN APP/WEB APP tool could be created to read in everyone’s log files, then spit out a report (HTML / XML whatever). Over time, this would provide the most accurate ‘compatibility log’

That is a great suggestion, imho  beerchug.gif
