Doesn't boot for me.  I'm an Xecutor 1 owner, using Phoenix Bios Loader.  I've tried with 2 different bioses:

1. 4977 patched for Big F (and BFM obviously)
2. 4976.02 patched for Big F (and BFM obviously)

I have noticed a problem that happens after loading some savestates.
Sometime the emulator just locks up.

After loading a savestate
The audio will sometimes continue to play, but the screen will go  black.

the scrambled rom names that were showing up in the game listing are casued by bad roms. i ran my collection through goodn64 and it pulled out about 15 bad roms (bad as in it classified them as "not n64 roms" even though they worked on pc emus). i removed these ones from my xbox and lo and behold the problem vanished.

A few things I've noticed and having issues with:

1 - At first I simply had about 60 roms in my rom folder that were compatable with PJ and UltraXLE. I installed Surreal, aimed the Ini to the correct direrctory and launch, everything went fine. Games loaded, normal operation.
Now that the compatibility is so much higher, I decided to delete those roms and FTP my entire list of about 240 ROMs. Now...Surreal is displaying everything fine...all box art, and in list mode everything looks fine, until I try to launch a game. The games at first try to launch, saves settings, then started to load. It sticks to 0%, then goes back to the main screen and any Box Art or title (in list mode) on the screen has vanished. I can scroll down to see other games, but until I restart Surreal, the games that dissapeard from the list don't reappear, and nothing will load. Every game does the same thing. Could this be too many ROMs trying to be displayed? Or that most of my ROMs are Zipped?

...and...
2 - Few typos: Playble instead of Playable in on a few games. Not a big deal, but a 'bug' non-the-less. :-) Fixable on the User end.

Actually, X2-4979 fixed the problem.  Thanks though!

Ive got a question about the joystick...

I dont know if it is a bug or if there is a way of configuring the joysitcks sensitivity.
I find it hard to aim in FPS shooters (ex. goldeneye) or while using the cannons in super mario 64.
It seems to have a lot of "dead zone" where you move the joystick but nothing happens on the screen. Then all of a sudden the crosshair jumps over.

Thank You

Actually there's too little dead-zone on the sticks.
In driving games, moving the stick just a little, causes the cars to turn all the way.
The sensitivity needs to be toned down some.

A screen resize and move option would be nice too.

Surreal refuses to run on my 1.0, patched and unpatched. I've tried 4979.06, 4980.06, and M7. None load the program from the stock wd 8 gig. It runs from a cdrw. Is the freezing linked to runnning it from this hd? Otherwise, I'm out of ideas.

Edit: Never mind. In my haste, I forgot to transfer over the Media folder. Silly mistake.

what program did you use to patch the .xbe's to retail? and did you patch all of them or just the default.xbe? I patched them all using craxtion and it still hung at the dashboard using executer 1 chip??

I'd prefer to use a windows based patcher as I don't know many dos commands!
any help?

thanks!!
