Jet Force Gemini - analog walking/running is screwed. There seems to be deadspots, and I can't run at all in JFG. Im using the U[!] rom, I love this game and it has a star on the emulator select screen so Im assuming its supposed to run well, is there a prob with my rom? I also tried the E! rom but it does the same thing.

On a side note this emulator is amazing. Theres only a few games it doesnt play, and usually those are the games I dont care about anyway.

Thanks people!

Zelde: OOT is sooo nice, except for the controller its just like playing on my n64
but there is one texture problem, it happened in the shop and its in the menu

user posted image

[edit] this is with 1964
Project64 and UltraHLE just crash

This issue for me seems only to appear when playing Zelda: OOT Master Quest Edition.
The original (U) version runs near perfect.

Majora's Mask - Plays well until day 2 when screen turns completely black  [1964][PJ64]

Are you waiting long enough?  That cutscene is screwed up (all day change cutscenes).  If you wait a bit, it comes back and says Day 2.

I've gone through about 6 days now, and the only really bad thing are the missing structures and the Deku Temple race.

Yeah I have let it sit for 5 or so minutes a few times and never gets to the Day 2 screen for me.

I am playing it in (pj64) and have not had this problem (as posted before)

have passed Day 3 a hour ago and have my ocorina back and am back to my usual self.

try with Pj64 (default settings)

It plays all the cutscenes and only slows occasionally (hense why i changed from 1964)

Kirby - Loads and plays well [1964]

Plays well for the first 2 levels.. Then slows down to a crawl when you at the castle and you gotta go up the stairs.  And the other levels are slower too.

It's a shame.. This game is pretty good.

I'll play with the settings now and see if i can get it better.

If you get it working a bit better, lemme know.

How come they recommend Mario 64 to be run with UltraHLE. His face is bright white when the ROM starts. It runs fine with Project 64. rolleyes.gif

..or maybe I have a bad dump. Anyone else have this problem?

No, I have the problem as well. It's not something that happens in UltraXLE, so obviously some change introduced the bug. The game seems to run perfectly despite that, so it's really not a big deal, but it would be nice if it got fixed.

I got to what i thought was the castle. I flew up those 'steps' i guess they would be. The wooden platforms. Then i went down that roller wooden platform thing thats on the line (controlled by the other kirby like character)

I did all this without a hitch using pj64 with dyna = 20mb, video =5mb, and paging =5mb

sad.gif  perhaps a bad rom image, as I see other ppl saying it plays good?

Mario party 3 seems to work good in 1964, saw some choppy video when a giant snowball was rolling around, but seems ok otherwise...

Mortal Kombat Trilody seems a tad slow and sound was very low in 1964

Kids are enjoying Mario party smile.gif

thx

adding to benjeremys idea - wouldn't it be better to include the rom settings (dynarec, pagefile) and the achieved fps as well? that would create a thorough and comprehensive list. something along the lines of:

game----------emu-----audio----video---dyna---paging---notes

paper mario--1964----azimer--10-------11-----7-----------slight texture problem on cut scenes

edited because the forum wouldn't line it up correctly hence the dashes. maybe it would be better to host this somewhere else using a database type structure and data entry.

I'm working on a database at minute, bored, thought I might as well, my mates playing on my box, so can't do owt with it at minute, never should have told them I had the Mario Kart rom. I really should get another controller.

Ill post links/shots later, won't be fancy, doesn't need to be, if liked it could be slotted into the upcoming official site, would save my lowly bandwidth, probably find out the devs are doing one already, ah well, will carry on and if they're not, this one could be put forward.

Current fields:

romid+gameid - so I can have pages dedicated to games and the the individual romsets, saves having one huge page
rom -   name obviously with region (I'm only doing posts that have the region on at minute, I don't see the point of saying one of a few roms works when there are US, Japanese and Euro releases and differnet versions/sizes etc
1964/p64/uhe - Status, i.e. Perfect/Glitches/Won't run
Fields for settings for test - audio/video etc
Average FPS - Obvious
Notes - Obvious
Contributor - Credit to tester

For this version assuming Version 1.0, ignoring leak, will add a version field once testing done as new versions are assumed.

My test version is very simple at minute, in the full one, you'll click on the core in the game page and see settings for that particualr one if any were submitted
Just did record deletion, onto editing next, then once I know everything works, splitting it up into main and game and cores.
I can't beleive I find PHP coding fun, why can't I find C++ fun, would have got a better grade last year if I had.

Very Simple Overview: Main Page -> Game Page -> Core Status Page

Does anyone have a list of every N64 rom? Or at least a high majority, then I can assign gameids, so you can have a nice pulldown list of games and romsets to choose from, otherwise its me wandering around sites and constantly changing ids as I find a game with a higher place alphabetically.

Any input is nice, unless I fall asleep, will be working for a few more hours tonight, so will be checking here, see what people think. Oh anyone that cares using MySQL and PHP.

Be nice to do something that isn't just for me or a mate who needs a site.

Are all of you guys that say this doesnt work, that doesnt work, are you playing with the dyna, video, and paging?  Try it and you might get what you want.
