ok i got a question, i put the roms all on a DVD by themselves. The dvd is in xbox file format and i put a: in the surreal.ini file but still no roms show up. any ideas?

Try mabey typing:
CODE
A:/  (use BACKSLASH instead of /)

instead of just:
CODE
A:

Might work!? I don't use DVDs

Mine does, run your roms through goodn64 to make sure they are good dumps.

Questions from a non newb.  I feel stupid :-/

I cannot get the roms to list.

My roms are located in /F/Emulators/Surreal64/Roms/
i've tried... everything to say the least.
So for those of you who have gotten this working w/o any problems...
what extensions are your roms... mine are all .z64, shouldn't make a difference, right?
i have done F:Roms F:EmulatorsSurreal64Roms, many many combinations

can someone give a straight up example of what they have, it would be extremely helpful.

update:  ok... has anyone been able to place roms somewhere BESIDES F:/ROMS.   i can't get them further in the directory tree.   finally got them working on the first branch :-/

One thing I had to do was delete the a64f3a57 directory under TDATA/UDATA after I edited my surreal.ini.  (I think that's the right directory - it's something close to that if that's not it).  If you're having problems, that's one thing you might try.  Now that I think about it, you can probably delete this from the MS dash as well...

In my case, Surreal was just refusing to load after I edited the INI to change my ROMs directory.  Deleteing the "save" for Surreal, fixed it.
