Yes I was evil and aquired a copy, sorry COULD NOT resist, AWSOME work guys. There is a HUGE compatability increase in this package, so much in fact that N64 emulation on the XBOX is no longer a laughing matter at all, infact it runs circles around N64 emulation on the PC, SOOO much eaisier to set up, and it runs so much smoother in most cases.

Anyhow I've noticed a couple things that I don't know if you plan on adding in for the official release or not.

1st and formost DOOM 64 (my baby) now has broken compatability.in 1964, and Project the GFX are a MESS, and in Ultra it runs as it should but...

...it likes to crash at random when you open a door. So I don't know if you guys even care now that this has been leaked, you might be to pissed and what not, but if not, there is something you might want to look into.

Secondly, what happened to the ability to select GFX plug ins? It seems this is not needed anymore with as good as this works, but in DOOM's case it just might.

---------------

On another note, the configuration set up is EXACTLY as it should be!!!!!!!!!!

THIS is the kind of interface that needs to be put to use for the PSX Dual Shock Emulation, and more than that for the Windows and Linux XBOX Pad drivers. With Windows on XBOX right around the corner, we will NEED something like this hard core. Mouse and Keyboard assigns to what ever Analog and buttons you choose, VERY AWSOME! Now I don't have to play N64 FPS's like Dreamcast where your look analog is on the left, instead of the right where it SHOULD be. smile.gif

P.S. sorry for downloading the leak, I am a sinner, and I confess my weakness for a damn good emu.

Oh, well if there gonna take this down then fine, just thought I'd bring a few things up incase they had not noticed it.

Reason # 5002 why I should be a beta tester: I PLAY the hell outta the stuff.

reason # 5003: I'd never leak a thing, I understand wanting to keep secrets under wraps, I've got my own project which I try not to share anything about unless I absolutly need help with sometihing so  I understand.

Tut Tut, Xdelusion you should know better.

How many versions of Doom do you have?

A bit obsessed I think.

You're thread won't last long but I'd wait  for the official release and if it still happens then submit it as a bug report. Of course try every flavour of Doom rom out there although somehow I know you already have them.

Not me, I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere Ohio, and both of my cars are broken down (yes even the VW). It is impossible to find work around here, unless of course you want to flip burgers which I REFUSE to do. I can't be some 29 year old dude flipping burgers, think I'll hold out raise a little cash on Ebay, fix the cars, and then find something.

I'm only beta testing for one other project (non-XBOX related), so as you see "all your authors out there" I'm very bored, and pennyless, I've got plenty of time, as does my girl friend. We'd be glad to help out.

As for the DOOM roms, you guessed right, I've tried them ALL. What's the facination?

well...

I like to play around. smile.gif

Actually this is one of my favorite shots so far, the lighting effects were not added in at the time the screen shot was taken, but it gives you and idea of how beautiful DOOM Legacy can look.

Ironically that is only with low-res textures, here VERY soon Legacy will have support for Hi-Res textures and this room will look a thousand times better still, then imagine crono lighting effects on top of that. It's a lot of fun and VERY easy to do.

A couple examples of crono lighting:

And a GL Translucent Force field

Just some VERY BASIC ideas of what Legacy is all about, which is a WHOLE LOT MORE! smile.gif

so far I've had no problems, a few graphical hick ups here and there, but just in the Name Screen at the beginning so far.

For instance when you goto type in your name, The letters look Japanese, but when you press them, it comes out as the English alphabet. Though this could just be a flawd rom I've got, dunno.

Well, this release was probably hex edited, to change the credits. So that probably made it less stable. I have faith that the official release will be ever so slightly more stable.
