Well, this release was probably hex edited, to change the credits. So that probably made it less stable. I have faith that the official release will be ever so slightly more stable.

-Bender

The pictures of the edited credits was just a text change in the .ini file.

We appreciate the positive feedback.

Like i've stated, i could care less if you download and run a leaked copy. Its helping the leakage of it that ruffles my feathers.

DOOM works in 1964 for me, its just all red. Im sure this is how it is in PJ aswell. Were the graphics correct in pj64-x ?

The reason theres no plugin selection is because its based upon rice's 5.1.0d which was vastly improved over the others. There was no need to include others.

As far as Zelda OoT, the japanese characters at the name selection is a known problem with rice. Another problem is that the current heart your energy is on appears invisible (if you have 3 hearts total, and you have 2 hearts full of health, the 2nd heart is invisible). Other than that, i cannot think of anything else on the top of my head. There was a problem with it sporadically locking entering shops/rooms when i played it many months back, but im hoping the problem fixed itself with the large amount of code changes. I guess we'll see soon enough.

It was hex'd.

And strangely enough jokk kindly pasted the contents of the hexed xbe. Gee , i wonder where he got it from?

I sure bet he has no clue who did it.

This also would have no effect on the emulator itself. Please remember this was a RC 2 guys. It was *very* near first release.

Compatibility/stability will only slightly change between the leaked version and what will be here shortly.

LauL

I see everyone has their own private look-at-me-I-am-an-attention-whore type of threads on s64. And such threads are encouraging even more to download the leak. Now I wouldn't be surprised if oDD_ comes back & pulls the plug for good, I wouldn't have anything against him either.

Ohh well back to cage with LoK:D, thank god for that!

*Everything* is red.

The walls, his gun, the floor and ceiling. It has a red wash all over it. Its like looking through a pair of deep red glasses.

Definitly not how its supposed to be, if you compare it to how it plays in Ultrahle.

Tried DOOM64 on PJ64-X a couple of weeks ago. As far as I can remember, the rom worked OK without any red tint. Only tried it for a couple of minutes, thought.

Well it seems to me that if these kind of threads are going to be allowed then the leak might as well be thrown onto xbins and called a bloody release! What's the difference if you're all going just to talk about it anyway??

Iriez, you're quick enough to lock threads about compatibility in Kawa-X Plus - another hex-edited emu that was released against the author's wishes. This should be the same should it not?

lantus, considering it was your reaction to a leak that caused you to effectively abandon one of my favourite Xbox ports, I'm surprised to see you here laughing and teasing as though this were nothing.

Maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but the attitude of "it exists so let's pretend it's okay" just doesn't seem right to me.

It's true that ive mellowed out abit since DoomX, but this leak still hit home to me.

i agree this thread should be locked on principle.

anyway Likkle - no im not happy about the leak. i helped oDD with Surreal and was quite angry when it got out, especially in the fashion it did.

But the facts are that Surreal leak can be downloaded from p2p's, newsgroups etc - and theres jack all any of us can do about it.

And i was being serious, why are there bug discussions about leaked beta's going on? Maybe you interpreted it as joking around but it was a legitimate question. The tongue gif makes it out as if its jokingly asking a question but it was definetly more serious than that.

it works because all 3 emulators run different things with different strengths. Why not launch them all in an attempt to combine the compatibility?

You select which one you want to run, but some games have a * next to the one it runs the best on.
