You can already play metal slug 1,2 with MAME-X and MAMEoX. 1,2,X and 3 are all playable in kawa-x and fbax.

You probably mean with the 64MB upgrade you can play MS1 and 2. You will get malloc errors trying most Neo Geo games.

The next update of MAMEoX will be INCREDIBLE because not only will VMM be working but there are speedups in CPS2, Neo Geo as well as improved emulation core in other newer systems.

By the time the next MAMEoX comes out though MAME v79 will probably be out.

No he means you can play Metal Slug 1 & 2 in MAMEoX with the stock 64 MB system. Most neogeo games <19MB zipped will work fine in MAMEoX.
