The whole point of filters is that they make games look better than on the original system. The SNES itself relies on TVs' scanlines to hide any nasty blockiness. But for those of us who have scanline-free TVs and/or VGA monitors the sharp-but-rounded look of AdvMAME2x can't be bettered.

So if you do decide to add an Auto-Frameskip option, will this fix the speed issues? I presume so since XboyAdvance runs excellently with AdvMAME2x and Auto-Frameskip on.

"better" is purely your opinion, not a fact.

ive always wanted users to get a "close to real SNES" feeling with they use xSnes9x so they can relive the glory days of the best console ever.

XboyAdvance does run well - however i never use it because (and this is no disrespect to Xport) but i want 60fps and no frameskip emulation.  Sadly at 700mhz, VBA cant manage this. Something like Tony Hawk 3 on VBA is a mess.  I cant handle choppy scrolling just to keep the speed up, so i will just stick to my real GBA SP + Flash Cart

The same applies if i add autoframe skip in xSnes9x. it will address  the speed issues, but will make gameplay choppier. Still to be decided if i want to do this.

It should definitely be a configurable option, that way the emulator caters for all tastes. At the end of the day this is your baby, but if you truly have the users at heart, as you seem to, then you need to keep in mind that different ppl will want to enjoy it in different ways. The more an emu can be customized to a users tastes, the more pleasurable it is to use. happy.gif

Besides, frameskip is barely noticeable in most Xbox emus that use it. This would be especially true in XSNES9X which would only need it for a few titles and not to any degree that could be described as choppy.

This is taken from the pinned topic that didn't help you.

"3. Decide where to put your emulator files on the xbox HD. An often used tree-structure is “F:\emulators\”emulator name”, but this is entirely up to you."

Then you MAY need to edit your dahsboards .ini file, but you know how to do that, right? If no, then check out the tutorial section on X-S main page. Also. Read the supplied documentation.
