From the xsnes9x FAQ (http://www.lantus-x.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4):

(Q) StarOcean and Street Fighter Alpha 2 have blurry graphics. Why?
(A) You need the graphics packs from www.dejap.com. Make sure you copy the contents of the graphics packs into FreezeFilesocnsdd1 for Star Ocean and FreezeFilesfa2sdd1 for SFA2

You need a separate graphics pack to play Street Fighter Alpha 2 on an SNES emulator.  www.dejap.com may still have the pack available for download.  You then need to merge the graphics pack with the SFA 2 rom.  You can get the tool that allows you to do that at www.zophar.net.

Otherwise, you can always play the actual arcade rom on either Kawa-X, or Final Burn Alpha X.
Its (for obvious reasons) more faithful to the arcade, and you don't have to go through the hoops that it takes to get the SNES version to work.

Yes, the arcade rom is much better.

Pull out those dusty search skillz, and start looking on google.  I rarely have a problem finding stuff that I really want to get.

(hint)
If push comes to shove, if you scour the planet enough, you'll find the games for the emu that you want to play . The net is full of useful information. :)

Just get the Street Fighter Alpha 2 arcade rom and the latest FBAX and you will be set. BTW for the snes version there is no need to merge the files you just need to put them in a folder that is inside the folder used for saves. Arcade version is better anyway

Dejap still hosts the gfx packs

but wait a few days anyway...gfx packs will be a thing of the past....

On SNES SFA2 v Arcade SFA2: Of course the arcade is superior but im a really big fan of the SNES version as well. What they managed to squeeze into a 32mbit rom amazes me

I had to do a search for the SF2 GFX pack as I could not find it on DeJap. Anyhow it loads for me, but when you goto select characters, the screen turns black and all I hear is sound.

OF COURSE the arcade is better, but it is still kool to see how far they pushed the SNES...

...in Japan that is.

Us cornbread fucks never get shit. :/
