Can you explain how to burn everything to a disk and then just play them off the disk?

Thx for this (really ONLY for beginners) Guide.
But i suggest the mods, to delete/move the unnecessary (also this) postings, because its not easy to find the essential Tips in such a lot of (OT) Postings.

This place is great! I didn't know anything about modding. So I sat here and read for about a week. Got my chip, bos cd, dash cd. Installed it all correctly the first time. It was only due to the excellent tutorials!!! I have one question however.

I have my emu's I want to enstall. I have my roms. I installed Avalaunch 0.49.1 and have to xfer from cd. (needed 50ft crossover which I found cheaper on ebay and is not here yet). Since there is a emulator menu in avalaunch, do I simply create a folder in C drive, name it emulators and xfer the emu files? Also, I'm still using the original hard drive and want to run ROMS from the cd. Is this possible?

Thanks for any help!!

Avalaunch has a configuration file that determines where/what the emulators path is/called.

yes, you can play from cd if the emulator supports it (some emulators dont boot from cd or cannot recognize roms on a cd...only a small amount though.)

Yes, make a bin/cue of the game using cdrwin, or search the forums for other methods.

Can someone help me cos I have read ALL the forms [took me about 2 moths] & now I have sucessfully moded my xbox with a chip, evo-x, 120GB hdd, controller mods, light mods, case mods, gem mods & dvd/media player software installation!
But I can't get my SNES9X Emulators to work am I doing this the right way???

1. Place the snes9x files onto a CD-RW which all my roms in a Folder which I made called "ROMS"

2. Place the disc in the xbox
[THIS METHOD DOESN'T ALLOW YOU TO PLAY THE GAMES FROM THE CD]

3. Go into the XBE & copy the contecnts from my cd-rw to my f:/emulators Folder which was created by EvoX Software!

Can some1 just tell me how to boot snes roms from either CD or the HDD???

when im ftping my emulators over..do i make a folder inside of the E:emulators? say like "e:/emulators/snes" than another one for like another emulator, because if i just pile in all the emulators into the same file it will get really confusing going through that folder am i write?

***shakes fists at sky**** AARRGGHH!!!

i just don't get this retarded secrecy garbage over roms.. any monkey can be told about xbins and be given tuts on how to get the stuff there, but absolutely NO ONE will point people in the direction of a similar location for roms? what is that about? you'll tell people where to get illegal programs but not games? damn this search is getting frustrating.
and every search yields the same damn results.. we don't have roms here, they're bad. keep searching... mad.gif everytime someone tells someone to search, that's farther down the real info gets buried..

sorry to vent but this is just dumb..
