If the XBOX can emulate the Playstation 1, it "shouldn't" have any problems emulating the 3DO system.  But not being an emulator programmer I would not be able to base this on fact.  I do know that there is one 3D0 emulator being made for the PC but I have not checked it out yet.  I was one of the few people that bought a 3DO when it first came out, it has a few games worth playing on it and the only reason I sold it was to pay a phone bill from back then, AOL 1.0 1994 no local access #.. first time on internet = huge bill!   Yeah it would be bad ass to have 3DO emulated on the XBOX, just for that fact that the old 3DO hardware is hard to find in good condition i've been wanting to buy one from ebay in the past but knowning how easily cd-rom lasers get fucked up i'm affraid i'd get a lemon.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that Xboy Advance is the best GBC emulator.  Gnuboy is at least just as accurate, although without a fancy GUI.  It does output GBx roms with a correct aspect ratio, for one, whereas XBA makes you adjust the screen manually for every game.

Also, FBAxxx is probably a more complete/up-to-date emulator than FBAx.

What about an emulator for the virtual boy?  I have a few roms for it, but can't find an emulator for the xbox. Anyone know a working emulator for that system?

Since I ported both of these projects, I can voice-in without sounding like I'm tooting my own horn...

Gnuboy is not as accurate as XBoyAdvance.  Furthermore, XBoyAdvance has a lot more features than Gnuboy - for instance, system-link capabilities as well as the numerous niceties that the front-end offers (auto-fire, multiple save states, autoloading save states, etc, etc.)  There is absolutely no compelling reason to use Gnuboy over XBoyAdvance.

do you want your brain to explode, you crazy bastard  laugh.gif

the closest you'll get to virtual boy on the xbox so far is to get surreal, get doom64, and run doom64 in 1964 or project 64  tongue.gif  laugh.gif

Great list, the only other thing that I would add would be version numbers or dates of the last update, I have several emulators but I am not sure if they are the most recent.  I know it's petty but it would be great information...just my thoughts, great work anyway!

Yeah I really don't see why there can't be a dreamcast emulator because the dreamcast is basically windows ce based. And there have been some recent emulators dreamcast emulators for the pc.  I just hope it can be possible eventually or something.

i see what ur sayin but the only dc emulator out there to play commercial games is chankast and its requirements are enogh to swallow an xbox
Required:
Athlon XP 2GHz / P4 2.6 GHz
512 MB
DirectX 8 3D Accelerator

Recommended:
Athlon 64 3400+ / P4 3.4 GHz
1024 MB
DirectX 9 3D Accelerator

so dont think its gonna really ever be emulated cause it will take a lot of customizing and tweaking to even run like crap if it were emulated....

but maybe when the xbox2 comes out whel see this as a reality

THERE IS NO GAMECUBE, PS2, 3DO OR DREAMCAST EMULATORS FOR THE XBOX, NOR WILL THERE BE.

FreeDO is already being ported, check out the forums http://www.freedo.or.../forum/YaBB.cgi
