he probly wouldnt do anything. he probly wont own one. its not worth it. say it costs 400. I could build a comp (minus monitor) better than a 1.4 ghz for 400 (and its likley more). And we have emus for 1.4gh comp. They are called pc emus. The point is, its kinda stupid unless ALOT of people actually bought one, and it would only help people who are already into modding because it most likley wont affect retail games. And i have a stange feeling not to many people will buy one.

Id rather wait for the real X2 . Then mod it and we shall see what we can do with that.

And just in case some moron is like....i cant get a comp for 400. Well here is way cheaper built....  http://www.pricewatch.com (no OS section).

don't get excited, there is no reason to believe this 1.4 gig xbox exists, so far its fake

No, as a close friend of mine knows these people.

Its not fake.

It will probably retail for about $450 usd.

The intel cpu itself costs 125 bucks.

its hardly gonna open up much emulation wise, we can already technically emulate every format upto and including the PSX, after that the only consoles left are things like the PS2 and no 1.4 cpu is ever gonna emulate that.
Its possible emus lake jaguar, saturn etc would be port-able, but we are far from a decent PC version yet and that would hardly warrent spending $450

Your friends dad's mom's father as the head of this company is much much more of a exaggeration as "A good friend".

See the difference? 4 >1.
1 = reliance due to a direct contact.

2 = less reliance due to hops.

3 = even less reliance due to more hops.

4 = lame word of mouth altered facts.

While you may not accept my word as proof, which is understandable, i can accept my personal friends word as proof, as you might accept your own mothers word as proof.

Now most people would judge the situation as...

"So and so person is [this] reliable, so if he says [subject] its most likely [gauge reliable]"

Now you take the situation into context.

Its posted on xbox-scene, which has yet (to my knowledge) to post something fake.

Its verified through a well known moderator and news poster.

Gee, what do you think the final outcome will be?

Some N64 emulation requires a higher CPU.

I believe the xbox would benefit greatly (in the homebrew scene) from this upgrade.

Some people say "why spend that much on a xbox...buy a pc"

Well..a PC is not a console. That is the main difference. I was never a pc gamer. I was always a console fan. I feel flat out gay playing emulation on the computer...it just isnt fun. Playing it via a console on my tv with a console controller however is great.

it was meant to be an exageration, and just because it is mentioned on xbox-scene, DOES  NOT mean its true, i'm sorry but i remember the DC scene, and from now on i take everything with a grain of salt until there is definite proof of it

Those are pretty cool specs, but they are just that...specs.  There is NO software to support the increase in cpu speed.  Unless they release a 1.4ghz xbox in the U.S. and the price is less than or equal to a new OEM xbox, its simply a novelty at best.

Hell for around $450-500 just get a mini pc with video out and hook it up to your TV.

And as i have said, to my best knowledge there has yet to be a single incident of a "fake" news item being posted.

Seeing that x-s has NEVER posted something fake, what are the chances that this is?

Logic would imply that it is very likely to not be fake.

Take your grain of salt and eat it.

Yes, with operating system installed that takes 2 minutes to boot up into, and from there you must browse to your specific emulator.

A console however is much more automated, and the general 'feel' of console emulation is much better than pc.

Consoles on consoles is much more natural.

It takes you 2 minutes to boot your computer?

Also if your just using it for emulation you can have it auto run an environment similar to any of the xbox dashboards.
