Xsnes Emulator
« on: September 09, 2003, 05:08:00 PM »

I've got the emulator working great, the only problem is that I have to put all my roms in the rom folder.  If I put them in the sub folders i can't get to them.
In the configuration file i have:-

d:Roms
d:RomsAdvenure
d:RomsArcade
d:RomsRPG
d:RomsSports

Please could you tell me where I am going wrong please, I've used at least 10 discs up so far trying to sort it out.

A bit off topic, but as a lot of people don't know this, I might as well say it (once again =)).

To do \ in these forums, you have to two (2) backslashes. Like this c:\\monkey\\farm to get c:\monkey\farm.

Oh, yeah. Sorry, can't really help you with that question. But try re-downloading the emulator and try again. Don't see how that would help, but for some people (who supposedly haven't done anything wrong =)) this works.

This is how my rompath.ini looks like.

f:\Emulators\xSNES9x [SNES]\roms

That is the only line in there. So in your case, it should be d:roms
In my roms folder there are 5 folder

Adventure
Arcade
Favorites
RPG
Sports

If I put any roms in any of these, they show up if I choose "my rom folders", or in the case with Favorites, they are found in "my favorites".

EDIT: ...and if they are in the roms directory, as in .\roms\mario.smc, they are found in "my roms" selection.

EDIT2: Wtf? My backslahes dissappers! They aren't ANY in my post, not even one =) Trying to fix this...

EDIT3: Think I got it now =) Buggy, buggy buggy...

hi kvajnto, thanks for responding, but the way you do it is the very first way i tried it.  When i went to the sub-folders menu it said 'no folders found' or maybe it said 'no roms found' i'm not sure now, never the less the roms and the folders did exist it just couldn't find them.
