Just played a whole game with Saberwolf on KI 2 and it played without any crashing and the games ending came up and credits and I could continue my game. There was once round that had some sound/music stuttering. KI2 game intro works fine, no crashes there, yet. :-)

I then played KI 1 with Glacious and beat the game and got the ending and it got stuck at the very last credits text. I could not exit out of the Emu, I had to turn off the Xbox. KI 1 game intros eventually crash the emu on me. Hmm.. wonder why?

for those who have a crash right at the end credits text - if possible can someone savestate it and email it to me before the credits/crash and ill try and look into it.

Hey Lantus,

How about a CRC of all the roms for ki2 that your using....?

Im with Glitch with the Ki2 freezing if you just let it play out.....

I must say, this looks amazing.  And I'm not even a KI fan.

I do have some fond memories of KI and KI2, though; the bowling alley two blocks from my house had one of the (four?) preliminary KI (and later, KI2) machines many months before anyone else got them... I've even got a T-shirt (Bird Bowl Gameroom, home of Killer Instinct), since I helped test the machine...

can someone explain in detail, on how to chop the filesize down for KI2?? my ki2.img file is 446,947mb. I used Hex workshop to get ki.img to work. Now all i need to know is how to chop the filesize down. I have no idea hot to do that, or what programs to use to do so. I thank you for your replies.

I can only say RCP would know, he knew about this in the older core of U64Emu and fixed some core bugs and got it correctled in U64Emu 3.5, maybe on one earlier version before that as well. Its gotta be a core bug problem. I'm not a programmer, so I'm only going by the readme that came with the U64Emu.

I emailed RCP and asked if he would release the source for 3.05 about 10 minutes ago. Just in case Lantus wants that version. If not we still have a kick but new xbox emulator.

Anyway, I wanted to say thanks to Roll for the awesome link to the .img and to lantus for the emulator (love your work man).

Thats because you are trying to use the v1.4 of the rom set of KI1, look around and find the v1.5 of the KI1 rom set and it will work, to know if you have the right rom set look for the u98-l15d file...lantus you the da man!!!

While on the game select screen, Hold down Left and Right Trigger and press Black.

also - may i ask folks to not bother RCP with any issues relating to the xbox version at all..he knows nothing about this version and since he hasnt touched U64 in over a year i doubt he has any interest providing assistance or any updated sourcecode.

I'm sorry as soon as it hit the net, I had to email him..Nicely though..It was his source though..no harm in tryin..but I wont email RCP more than once. Anywayz, I jsut made 3 save states, I'm not sure which one in the TDATA 64646464 is the ending with Glacious wining agains Eyedol and you see the credits rol but it crashes at the end of the credits. How do you want me to send it to you Lantus-X?
