NeoGenesis Sega Genesis/Megadrive/32X/SegaCD/MegaCD Emulator for XBox v8

http://xport.xbox-scene.com/

What's New:

- 480p, 720p, 1080i support

- 4x varieties for all filters
+ Most of these 4x filters make the games run too slow to be enjoyable,
but the AdvanceMame4x runs well and so do a few others.
+ I also suggest not using the 4x filters unless you can use
720p or 1080i modes.  Scrunching a 1280x960 picture to half that size
looks almost exactly the same as the 2x version (and perhaps a little
     worse because of the scrunching.)

- Hardware filtering options : Point, Bilinear, Trilinear, Anisotropic

- Access new video options from Main Menu -> Configuration -> Video Configuration

- Re-vamped the 50/60, tearing, jittery sound, etc.  Hopefully this should
straighten out all the weird, misc bugs a few people have encountered when
trying to play PAL games on NTSC XBox or vice versa.

they are just different methods of processing the image that is being outputted. just try them all with the various software filters to see which image is most pleasing to you. some people dislike the original pixelated look and want smoother lines, etc. i personally like point filtering w/ simple 2x on all of xport emus. I think they look the most accurate to the real thing out of all the combinations without looking too blurry or pixellated.

Ok, I set up my Xbox dashboard to support 480p & 1080i.  I can run games (tried Gunstar Heroes in 480p - looks great), but when I tried to set the Neogenesis v8 for 1080i, the screen scrambled and I could no longer see the screen.  I then lost video signal on my 65" HDTV screen.  Should I be setting something else in the EMU or my Xbox so that I can get the 1080i signal?

By the way, Xport, great job! Thank you.

bigman - No other configuration should be necessary.  Are you sure your TV supports 1080i?

That's not a bug - that's the screen size you originally had set.

Options Menu -> Configuration -> Set Screen Size/Position

XSnes9x also lets you resize the screen - I believe it's Y+BACK
