sad.gif ). I heard some guy learned how to use and regular drive but I never got around to getting it because re required a lot of crap.

First you need to send the original to him so you can prove you own it. I believe you had to send him a new HD as well. Then you had to wait around 2 weeks (he said that he gets a lot of orders). I can not remember how much he charged, but I do not think it was much. Unfortunately I was to lazy to do it so I still have a dead KI Board/HDD sitting on my wall.

Now that we these emulator being released I will be happy. It will be an awesome substitute to playing the arcade game. If KI2 worked fine (which I believe it will) expect a rise in prices on eBay. At least I know I will buy one.  beerchug.gif

It is cool to display PCB's in a shadow box in your Game room. biggrin.gif

I am really excited about playing this I have a KI board/HDD and Killer Instincts Gold for N64. Of course Gold sucks compared to 2. Unfortunately the KI games used proprietary HDD's and once your drive was dead it wad dead (mine is dead sad.gif ). I heard some guy learned how to use and regular drive but I never got around to getting it because re required a lot of crap.

I'm a big KI fan I have both KI/KI2 HD/Boards etc that i swap in and out of my MK2 redid jamma cabinet. Anyways I too knew one day my harddrives would crap out so I searched and scowled the net for a way to backup my Harddrive since 2000 I used to search and search never found anything I eventually came accross scott's page and followed it for quite some time at first he had figured out how to copy the contents of the SG ki hd to another identical model SG drive then he eventually found a way to replace the boot rom on the Jamma board itself to allow any HD to work on it. Anyways this link is for all those out there who have killer instinct arcade and would like to fix or preserve your investment.

Here's the link -- http://www.revisionx...roject/ki1.html

Also the manuals are up there in PDF format i believe.

Anyways all you KI arcade fans out there enjoy.

In the arcade version you need to insert coins  tongue.gif

If you read this thread, you would have known the answer.

as for supporting native CHD files, Cruisin USA or other nonsense - its not gonna happen

rolleyes.gif

I did'nt expect it to run Cruis'n USA "AUTOMATICALLY"!

What I ment was;
Cruis'n USA can't be that hard to get working - aint it really similar to KI?
I mean, you've done all this hard work...

Cruisn' USA isnt the same as KI just because they both had the ULTRA 64 logo on the intro.... They work each on diferent harwares.

Maybe a Cruisn' USA emu in the future, but do not expect this from U64

Superb! I was heartbroken to find that KI1 runs so slowly in MameOX. I thought I was never going to see it run full speed on the Xbox...

...till I saw the screenie of the game running at 60 FPS!

WAHOO!

I'm not quite sure about that 60 fps thing since the screenshot is interlaced.  It looks like it'll hit 60 fps when in interlaced mode but it'll be far less than that in regular mode.  I could, and hope to be wrong about this tho.

I'm sure Ken and the gang at Rare will REALLY get a kick to see it running on the big Green Machine biggrin.gif I'm going to have to send him an email once it's released wink.gif

Rare's a part of MS Game Studios now, so I don't think they will get a kick to see KI running on the Green Machine.

Um...

I know this, this is "why" they will get a kick out of it. More of a "slap in the face" to Nintendo if you will, since KI is owned by Rare...

I work in "the industry" the least I could know is who's who and who's where...

The scanlines you see in the picture take more system resources. I remember way back when I had this emulator running on my computer but it ran way to fast so when I turned scanlines it slowed it down a little.
