thanks a lot for your answers!!! loom works great with mp3!!! i noticed that if i ad -qde to comi, the font of the difficulty setting is a different one (though still in english). so it really seems to be a bug!

i got a recent response from guybrush, in which he told me, that he had found the failure responsible for the german language bug in COMI and will fix it in his following release.
he is also working on the screen adjustment feature, and so far it looks quite promising.

so long

Ok, i updated to the latest EvoX and everything is working now.

Something i noticed in COMI is that the cursor movement is terrible slow.
That should be fixed also. I haven't tested ScummVMx with a mouse yet.

And something to Indy3. I posted it before, but i mention it once more.
You will need the nummeric keys for the box fights in several scenes.

It would be enough to add 3 or 4 nummeric keys somewhere to the pad.
Keys 9,6,3 should be enough to solve a fighting sequence and maybe
key 4 to make a step back.

A solution in example would be holding the right trigger and a direction on
the d-pad.

This also solves the problem with the copy protection of
Monkey Island 2.

I vaguely remember reading in the ScummVM documentation about a command to start in a room. Would this solve the Monkey 1 & 2 problem for now?

I'm not sure If I am on the right track, but I am about to give it a go....

I managed to skip the lame 'o protection on Monkey 2 using this command line in windows.

scummvm -d -b 1 -p c:gamesmonkey2 monkey2

So I see no reason why the same thing couldn't be done by making a link with your dashboard...

My error message when trying monkey 1 and monkey 2 is something like:
Bad ID iiiii

Do you know the meaning of this scummvm error message?

Two more questions:
I couldn't try the evox command line solution you said before because I don't have evox (I use xbmp as my dashboard).
Is it possible to use command line parameters within xbmp shortcuts?

I read you advise to unplug 2nd controller. Is this extensive to the DVD remote controller?

no, u dont have to unplug the remote, only all controllers exept the first.

if u get a id or room error, try a different version of that game, that worked for me.

have not tried this, but it should work:

CODE

 e:\scummvmx\default.xbe
 monkey2

see the README for the list of available parameters.
