I have not read the entire thread, so if I am repeating what has already been said, so be it.

Anyhow, ScummVMx seems to freak, and go back to the EvoxDash when ever you exit a game, or add a new game to the list. It used to do it when adding games to the list, then suddenly it just started to. So that no doubt could use a fix.

Also when browsing the directories to add in a new game, it would help that if when you went back a level, it only went back a level instead of to ROOT.

ISO support would be great as well since we are not getting CD support most likely. This way we could play Loom  CD and others with full sound.

You can, see scummvm's home website for more info but you can rip  your audio tracks to mp3/ogg and use those.

I made a folder and named it games. Then put all the games in there, in there own sepreate folders, so they look like this:  Games: Day Of The Tentacle:(game files)

hmm, believe me, you would not want it. It would be one button at a time, basically you would get super pissed off having to move the cursor slowly right, and then slowly up.

ack, i can't figure out this problem i have.  Everytime I try to add a game in scummvmx, it freezes.  I can't reset or anything.  I'm trying to test DOTT, it works on windows 2k.  I don't have a modchip, my TSOP is flashed instead.  Any ideas?

remove all but one controller(s).

otherwhise, you can edit the scummvm.ini manualy to get the game displayed in the list, so you can start it.

QUOTE (Driver @ Aug 9 2003, 01:44 AM)
On a somewhat unrelated note, were there ever full talkie versions of Monkey Island 1 and 2?

Hmmmzzz.....I have the Monkey Island Bounty pack. That's Monkey Island 1 and 2 in VGA!!! Monkey Island 1 has the inventory screen of Monkey Island 2 and I believe it has audio tracks. (not sure anymore, I have it stashed at the attic) Don't know wheter this version is talkie.....I have a look into it. Is this version also supported by the way? (The bounty pack)

Before I forget....is it possible to copy some adventures to a DVDR and burn it as an Xiso to play it with ScummVMX? I don't have a new HD installed...so not enough space at the moment.

Cheers,
MrX-Cuci

ive finished copying all supportet games (all but loom in fulltalkie/vga/win) on my xbox harddisk, if you do not convert the soundfiles to .mp3, all games together take about 3.2 GB of HDD space.

today i've also played through BASS, withount any problems.

BASS is funky. On UAEx, if you walk down the steps from where you start, the game freezes. On ScummVMx it does the same thing in the Talky version, unless you turn off voices.

@XDelusion:
i can't confirm this, when i walked down the stairs the first (and only time), i got shot... (the game wasn't freezing), maybe you should try out the freeware version (the large one) which is quite common on public servers today...

@LeRock: yes this is a known "bug" and its confirmed that guybrush will fix it in the next version of scummvmx. till then you have two options.
1. buy USB adapters and a USB keybord (as i've done today)
2. patch both versions of monkey island (if you search the net you will find patches, which skip the copy protection).

I am using the Freeware version, but like I said, I have to turn off voices to get it to stop freezing.

As for Monkey Island 2, ya Keymaps need configured hard core, you can't pypass the main screen without a keyboard.

Also it seems that if you hold down the triggers and hit Y I think it was, then all of your buttons no longer work.

This stuff is buggy, but then again it is the 1st XBOX release.

Oh ya, PC scummvm does NOT lock up BASS with voices on.

XDel, the first time I ran BASS-CD on the PC version it crashed the emulator at the exact point you describe. But every time I've run it since it's gotten past that point with no problems. I haven't tried it on Scummvm-x yet but maybe it's got something to do with skipping the intro sequence...?
