Guybrush, you should also add support on the pad for the boxing keys needed in
Indiana Jones 3+4. I don't know the correct nummeric keys at the moment, but i
noticed that yesterday playing Indy3.

Hi

I would have a look at seeing if its possible to bypass the entries here using a different room. I believe the PC version has a debug console that shows you a different room when you have entered the codes at the pirate screen etc.

That being the case you could specify the room using the ScummVM command line to jump straight to the first screen. Having a full official floppy version didn't help me. I borrowed my brothers new monkey 1 cd and ripped the audio into mp3s. This plays great. Especially considering that his version has no copy protection and the background music is ACE.

Hence I have MI1 working great now, but have no MI2 as this has protection in it. I did notice however that the screen is all at the top of my TV and I have nothing lower down. I think I saw this mentioned earlier. This could do with being quite high priority as its really annoying.

Thanks for the excellent port!  I was having a blast playing BASS and can't wait to go through DOTT again.  One nitpick though -- the emulator doesn't work when launched from XBMP, which is my default dashboard.  I can add games, but if I try to start up a game, the emulator will hang.  I'm not sure if this problem is with XBMP or with ScummVMx, though.

Been playing Sam and Max on my xbox. What a great game! On my PC I couldn't get sound working, so I'm really happy it works great on ScummVMx. Soon I'll enjoy Monkey Island 1 and 2, then I'll put on Day of the Tenticle... ah the many great games. I love this emulator.

EDIT: you have to make sure you have the Monkey Island 1 CD version WITH SOUND. It's 252.16MB as a RAR file.

I'm trying to rip the audio tracks from the CD version of Monkey Island 1.  Can someone confirm that there should be 24 audio tracks and they should be named track1.mp3 through track24.mp3?  Thanks.

hmm, doesnt seem to be working for me. Tried renanaming but no go. You do put mp3's along with other monkey files right? Maybe i encoded wrong... i got 128cbr - 22khz. Ill play with it.... i want to play this dammit!  sad.gif

The ScummVM readme states that you should use a bitrate of 96, not 128:

"lame -t -q 0 -b 96 --resample 22.05 track1.wav track1.mp3"

The "-b 96" means 96 kbps.  Maybe that's what's wrong.  Also, have you tried the PC version of ScummVM first to make sure it works before uploading to the XBOX?

I have the audio tracks working on my xbox version of ScummVMx

For monkey Island 1 CD Version *cough* a.b.c.i.x *cough*

Ripped the tracks with Audio Catalyst, then used Wavelab to convert them to 96kbs, 22050 Hz, Stereo, CBR.

Named them track1.mp3 to track24.mp3 and put them in the same folder as the Monkey Island files (I have a separate directory for each game under the ScummVMx directory ie: F:EmulationScummVMxMonkey Island)

All work fine ... although there seems to be a slight overrun between tracks when going from one scene to another ... possibly due to the AudioCatalyst ripping stage mentioned above ...

Also - just to make a note - On my PC version of ScummVM, if I encode them to 192kbs - they play really slowly - so you definately need 96kbs for the right speed - the 192kbs tracks didn't work on my xbox version at all ...

Hope this helps

btw: is there any way to stretch/position the screen at all ? coz mine is shifted slightly to the left and some games I can't see the 1st word of sentences ?!
