amazing indeed, allthough, i have four major (and one minor) requests:

1. (allready mentioned) please change one pad button to any number (to pass the monkey1 and 2 checks)
2. integrate two different mouse speeds (when using the pad (scummvm for dc for instance uses the analog cross to move the cursor fast, and the digi-stick for more precise movements.))
3. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, integrate a screen adjustment routine, on my tv there are black borders arround the screen (i've tried to change the settings in scummvm.ini to fullscreen, but that doesn't fix anything).
4. almost every action inside scummvmx takes you back to your dash (evo-x for instance) (adding a game, changing a games options, quiting a game...), please fix that, as it is very annoying.
4. a softwarekeyboard would be nice, but as this has nothing to do with the scummvm code in itself, this would be hard to code, and isn't a must...

seems like i've to buy usb adapters now... smile.gif

Wouldn't you also need to map a button to the enter key as well to get pass the monkey checks?

Well, never mind.  I just tried the PC version and you don't need the enter key to get pass the checks.

1) yes i will fix this in a next build, i havent thought of this problem since my MI1 and 2 CD dont have a copyprotection.
2) you can already use the dpad for small precise movements, but if you press and hold it will accelerate.
3) yes, this problem is related to libSDLx, first it was fullscreen but on most tv parts were cutoff, so lantus fixed the screensize to a bit smaller so everything can be onscreen.
4) I think it only takes you back to the dash when you are at the main screen and press Y (which is ESC).
5) I'll look into it.

Thanks to Threepwood for making this possible.

Now I can finally play the Monkey Island series on the big screen. Oh, and Beneath A Steel Sky, the game from the wonderful people at Revolution. Cheers for that.

a: the game runs fine at first, but: the leftclick signal on the xbox x button seems to be sent too long, this results in the inability of getting anything from the inventory. (because, when you press leftklick for some time, the golden emblem (with the use/see/talk interface) appears. solved

b: i allready produced a sound buffer overflow, im not sure, if this is a scummvm problem or some mess in the port.  (i assume that it results of the little ram, the xbox has.. if only the author of kawa-x could give you the key to virtual ram usage on xbox... smile.gif )

2. Full Throttle

my version of full throttle is recognized and can be played on scummvm 0.5.1 (pc version), but when i try to add the game to the xbox scummvmx menue, scummvmx crashes, (tomorrow i try to put the game manualy into the .ini file and start is.. ill report the results.) solved

@guybrush

i've found two more bugs...

1. Curse of Monkey Island (monkey3):
a: the game runs fine at first, but: the leftclick signal on the xbox x button seems to be sent too long, this results in the inability of getting anything from the inventory. (because, when you press leftklick for some time, the golden emblem (with the use/see/talk interface) appears.
b: i allready produced a sound buffer overflow, im not sure, if this is a scummvm problem or some mess in the port.  (i assume that it results of the little ram, the xbox has.. if only the author of kawa-x could give you the key to virtual ram usage on xbox... smile.gif )

2. Full Throttle
my version of full throttle is recognized and can be played on scummvm 0.5.1 (pc version), but when i try to add the game to the xbox scummvmx menue, scummvmx crashes, (tomorrow i try to put the game manualy into the .ini file and start is.. ill report the results.)

1a: x button is rightclick, but i think you mean the A button, i do not have this problem.
it is normal that if you hold the A button the gold emblem appears. have you tried the LTRIGGER to see if it causes the same problem?
1b: yes i have encountered one too, if you go stand next to the cannon standing by the window and wait a few minutes, this also occurs in the windows version so i guess its scummvm related.

2: That's weird that it crashed your xbox, this is my directory structure of FT:
FT directory -> DATA and VIDEO directory
root has resource files like FT.LA0 and FT.LA1.

monkey3 problem: solved
how: i deplugged the second controller in port 3.

fulltrottle problem: solved
i renamed my folders (might have changed nothing), and ive deplugged the controler in port 3.

back to dash problem: solved
i deplugged the controller in port 3.

details: every left click i performed before has been recognized as a double klick, maybe the second controller in port 3 was sending some signals resulting of his upsidedown position... though i do not think this has been the case, because every other emu/game/app i launched today worked fine... smile.gif

anyway, 3 problems solved *jipiee*

guybrush, your port is great! (exept of that screen adjust thing... wink.gif )

harlekin

edit:
one more thing for the board users outside, if you want to play monkey3 or fultrottle or some other almost "new" game, the only things you need to copy on the hdd are the .LA0, and the .LA1 file along with the sub folders in the root dir.

On a somewhat unrelated note, were there ever full talkie versions of Monkey Island 1 and 2?
