Ps1 Game Not Even Recognised By Pcsxbox V.4

tongue.gif yeah i like burning em this way...now point in wastin dvd's (or cds).

About the ripper on the xbox, i believe this is highly possible as i don't think the xbox has any troubles reading them...put one in when evox is on and it will always say 'unknown disk.' (of course this is with origionals as cdr backups aren't read by a lot of drives.) I always thought xport said the problem was the jumping around...so he could introduce a ripper i think

I think it's safe to say that the majority of people have little problem ripping their own games.

Really? I see so many posts here with people asking how to rip the games! (Although I suppose you could be right that the people who manage to do it keep quiet).

I've just looked again at the original post re: PCSXbox v1 where Xport says:

I was finally able to get the XBox to read XA sectors, but it reads them much too slowly for anyone to want to play games using it. (Reads about 2.5KB per second)

I guess this means that it is technically possible to write a ripper on the Xbox but it would be incredibly slow. However, I can still see a use for it - people could leave it ripping overnight and not have to fiddle about with PC/Mac software.

one2 - Yes, you would have to convert it to an xbox-compatible image (via xiso or what-have-you).  I understand what you're asking for, and I'll make a note of it, but it seems doubtful to me at this point that I would bother implementing it.  It's not a trivial addition and I don't see many people having a use for it.   BTW, why do you have bin/cue files on data CDs?  I can't think of a reason why you would want them in that format on CD media.

I think implementing it would be a great idea, then you could use samba and run your PSX games straight from your PC Cd-rom drive.
