Works dragon ball z,dragon ball z 2,snow brothers 3?

DBZ, DBZ2 - no, these roms require over 70 MB of RAM to load up, check them out in mame32.

Snow Bros 3 loads, but in MAME (not just MAMEoX) the game has no sound.

Vector games were fixed in the last release. There was a small bug where they were forced into 32 bit display mode and they didn't like that very much  I think all vector games play fine now, but I'll check on Star Wars for you.

Thanks noodle1009 for the test and info.  This is great, vector games work.  I can't believe how fast MAMEoX is being developed.  Good Job!

So hiscores should be saved automatically? Maybe this is a new bug then ... I haven't been able to find a single game that saves hiscores. I just played a game of Ms Pac Man in order to test, and it didn't save the score. I exited the rom using back+start, and then reloaded. Am I doing something wrong? Or is it simply that Ms Pac Man doesn't save hiscores. Just wondering, thanks.

are you playing from dvdr / cdrw or your harddrive?  If you're running from dvdr / cdrw your highscores.dat should be in TDATA / 4d414d45 on your E drive.

I just tested hi scores in 2 games (I remember one was blocken) and enither worked.
just downloaded the highscores.dat file but i'm a little confused where to put it.
i'm running MAMEoX from my HDD.

Marvel Super Heros also does not work. And I get real bad sound crackling on MK2 & MK3. Happens in most games but those two seem to be the worst. Oh and Rampage world tour also Cracks up alot (sound)

Please make sure you're using the latest version.  I don't hear any of the sound problems you're talking about.  Are you using .71.b1?

Please do the following for me:

+ make sure frameskip is set to auto
+ turn on vsync (even though it does not appear to be working well)
+ in games with problems, use the in game menu to display current framerate
+ make sure you see Auto(0) and tell me if the framebuffer is keeping up.

This will help me out a lot of you can do this, when the sound buffer gets ahead / behind with what video is on the screen, sound can get screwed up.

I notice a lot of CPS2 roms arent working on Mame that do work on FinalBurn. Is there a way to do what FinalBurn does to streamline NEOGEO titles only and make some of the currently non-playable games run?

I wish i could contribute but i cant program worth a squat.

I also know that mame has always prided itself with being a precise emulator and running games the way the actual machines would.......has anyone considered looking into emulators of the past to help run games that dont run today?-==== namely NEORAGEX - this emu ran huge games on small megs of memory but i also understand that the emulation wasnt "perfect".....as a gamer, however, i didnt notice.

Im just hungry to see some new NeoGeo games come into the playability list.

weird, I do...very early, rom tries to take a very large chunk of memory on load and barfs.  Lots of psykio driver games do this.

Can you check again and make sure this is indeed Gunbird 2?

Having problems finding where to check my vsync like you suggested. I am reading a help file thast says to press b+y to toggle an options screen but nothing happens. I assume this is where to check for the vsync commands.
