So how is the lightgun support in this release?  Should I go out and buy a gun today? I've been holding off on buying a gun until there's more than house of the dead to play...

Yeah, vector games seem to be screwed up...funny thing is though, if you activate the in game menu (white+back), the display corrects itself.  Weird, huh?

Another heads up... this is only affecting vector games which don't use artwork.... Asteroids Deluxe, Battlezone and Warrior are all fine for example, if you have the artwork turned on. If you have it turned off, it displays same symptoms as other vector games.

I really want to try Mameox but the readme says that the emulator must be installed onto the hard-drive, is this true?

Can the emulator not be put onto CDRW or DVD-R?

Anyone had any luck with OutRunners?  I still can't seem to be able to get the accelerator pedal to map to any buttons properly (emulation for the game looks flawless graphics wise in the looping demo though).

I've got the same problem, anyway check out this post made by noodle1009 on the Sourceforge page:

http://sourceforge.n...713&atid=554242

That could fix it.

EDIT: It works! Change pedal sensitivity to 200% and AD Stick sensitivity to 100%

NBA JAM lags heaps more in this version, is it just me or do any of use get that bad frame rate.

FYI,

vector games are now fixed in the CVS build.

Reporting problem with NBA JAM, perhaps this can be fixed.  There were some changes to 16 vs 32 bit forced resolution, this could have had an effect possibly.

And yes, this emulator can be run from CDRW or DVDR, and has been done so in the past.  Although I personally play from the hard drive.

Metal Slug 3 is more than 64 MB unzipped - hell, it's over 64 MB zipped wink.gif  No, it doesn't work.  Metal Slug 1 and 2 work.  I don't think Metal Slug X works either.

I posted a report on their site, but for everyone here. Congo Bongo still doesn't work. I didn't test it with the latest version but Tac Scan didn't work in 70.2b.

Other minor issues:

- very slight clipping on the right for most games that don't use the full screen (Q-Bert, Galaga, etc...)

- V-sync issues in some scrollers. (Zaxxon)

This program is getting better and better. Thanks to all the coders (and anyone else I forgot) who donate their free time to this project!

BTW - How's the sound doing for everyone?  I'm only on 70.2b, but I get crackling/static sound after I've played about 10-20 minutes of games like Dig Dug, PacMan, Mario Bros., Time Pilot.  I'm hoping the speed tweaks might smooth out my sound issues.
