I didn't see it on the list, but I wanted to point out that Final Fantasy VIII can have battle menus if you disable the throttle. So

Final Fantasy VIII(NTSC) - Playable. Slower than normal on the world map, graphic errors when switching between screens, movies skip slightly every few moments, sounds are different(distorted?). Other than that, it's great.

hope I'm not repeating already known information. Hope this helps others.

QUOTE (G12345567 @ Apr 23 2004, 12:50 AM)
How do you get back the Game Configuration sceen the one that comes up the first time a game is played? As it automatically starts the game every time I select the game to play it. I would like to play with the game settings to find the best compatibility settings for a game but can't get the particular setup screen back again. Please help

press x on the BIN or ISO of the game you want to change the settings of.

Hadn't seen it mentioned, so I'll comment that Fade to Black PAL works very well. You have to turn on the frame limit to get the right speed, the cinema scenes have somewhat choppy audio (still understandable though), and the game hangs on loading screens on occasion, but the actual graphics and gameplay are excellent.

Paper, I don't believe compatibility has changed much since the initial release because they're all based on the same source. Only bugfixes and GUI improvements distinguish different releases, not increases in compatibility.

final fantasy tactics on hle mode will not save file with memory card or with the emus saves (L trigger + black) when saving clicking to save file to memory card it will just flash thats with both slots and memory card 0 and 1. When saving with pcsxbox (L trigger + black) and loading it will just freeze.
It will work in Bios mode if you turn on parasite eve/vandal heart fix. It's a little slow but will work. The save file works in this mode.

Ive had a little play around with it.
Chrono Cross only freezes in HLE mode, Bios works fine.

Framelimit results in smoother gameplay, but jerkier sound while frameskip gives smoother sounds, at the expense of framerates.
Runs slower with both on.

Hope that helps anyone
