I'll let you know once I get my binaries. However, from 30 MB -> 50 MB more free memory sounds very promising. I know there are some display errors on some of the neogeo games (Viewpoint comes to mind), but most neogeo games load if there is enough available memory for them to do so. I'm interested in seeing if Metal Slug X and Shock Troopers 2 loads up now. From what I gather, this release may actually have more memory readily available than MameX...however, that could be wishful thinking. We'll see soon enough!

*edit*
Actually found out that MameX has around 54 MB free in neogeo/cps1/2 mode (44 MB in 'regular' mode), and MameoX should have about 50 MB free prior to any rom loading if I'm reading things right. So they're close. Unzipped rom sizes are as follows:
Samauri Showdown 4 - 48.4 MB, loads with MameX
Metal Slug X - 64.4 MB, loads with neither at the moment (untested with MameoX 70.2b )
Shock Troopers 2 - 64.4 MB (untested with MameoX 70.2b)
Don't think that the new release is going to run Metal Slug X or Shock Troopers 2 until we see someone figure out how to do virtual memory. But right now it looks pretty similar as far as memory is concerned to MameX. I wouldn't be surprised once the display errors are corrected if this release had the same sort of functionality as MameX did, with the advantage of being able to play all the new roms introduced since the .61 core (like Salamander 2, for example

if the konamigx emulation works ).
