Ok, I read in this thread that Baulder's Gate is a port of the PC version....
...no NOT AT ALL. If that were so, then we would have one of the best RPG's on any console. Rather we have another Gauntlet clone that barrows upon the D&D rules system. nothing more sadly to say.

From what I understand Atari (not the original company by this time already) was offered the Famicom at one point in time. I should have more details on that soon, in the mean time I can tell you this. The Atari 7800 was a finished product two years before the Nintendo released State Side. But the Tramiel's (the familily who fucked up the Atari name) did not want to release it for some reason or another, which gave Nintendo the chance to put the NES on the market, making it America's 1st 8-Bit gaming machine, and the 7800 the second, and at that dated 8-bit console. What a lot of people do not know though is that the team behind the original Amiga computer (makers of the 3DO minus Jay Miner who died by the time of the 3DO) made and designed the Atari 8-Bit computer. Atari had hired this team to design an advanced video game system for them, which would have totally blown away the NES, and SNES before either exsisted, but as fate would have it Commodore who had lots of money do to there success with the C64 swooped down and offered more money to Amiga if they would turn there video game project into a computer, which later released as the Amiga 1000. So, if things would have been different and 2nd Generation Atari not had there heads up there asses as they always did, Atari would have been the name behind some of your best childhood memories, or retro fetush depending upon your age.

Sony before releasing the Sony 2 promised triple the polys of the Dreamcast, improved graphics on classic Sony 1 games, and a lot of other crap that fell through, and continues to fall through. See aside of using crap ass parts to save money because they know dumb shit, tech ignorant, jump on the fucking band wagon American consumers are going to buy there crap anyhow. They also released there $300 piece of crap with only 4Mb video RAM, with no compressio what so ever! Compare that to the Sega Dreamcast's 8Mb Video RAM and Compression on top and what do you get!?!?!?
2 systems who equal in poly count per second, and a Dreamcast who can render sharper images, and more unique and less reused texture and poly based worlds, despite Sony's lies about how great there Streaming from DVD technology may be, and how it allows them to keep up with the XBOX, ha ha ha. Of course M$ lied to and they are asses, they do have the better technology of the 4 consoles, well the Dreamcast does prolly retain the cleanest display of them all, but aside of that.
As for the ONLY reason the Game Cube is not doing...
...3rd party support. 3rd Parties make or break a system, that is why Sony stays on top because Capcom, Konami, and a lot of other companies who I used to worship and am beginning to hate are only releasing there best on the aging PS2, and saving there experimental bull shit for the XBOX and cube. :/
It is all about conspiracy, who is paying who behind who's back while getting a hand job at the same time. Somehow these companies HAVE to be payed off somewhere to do this, something has to compensate for all the sales lost if they were to port these classic to all 3 consoles. They would not lose money, they would make money, so somewhere they are getting payed off.
