If anybody spends time on some work rather than rushing through it, don't you think they would produce a better quality result than they otherwise would have?

The pj64-x author is quite happy oDD ported ultrahle. Now the kids can play their zelda while he takes his project in a new (and incredibly difficult) direction.

To be quite honest, and realistic, its impossible. PJ64 is ultimately *MUCH* better than ultraHLE. UltraHLE was originally coded to be a mario/zelda emulator. It is very fast, and very efficient. Then it was taken abit further and made open source to add abit more compatibility.

Remember, these ARE ports. Alot of work went into them, but they are still ports. Making them *better* than the original code just is not realisitic.

Also, i think that pj64 is alot harder to port, not only because of the huge amounts of RAM it requires, but also because its just literally more code. Its goal was FULL N64 emulation, not just a couple select titles.

smile.gif Seriously this is amazing being your 1st project, it would be amazing even if it were your 50th project. It is a shame that none of the money in the pot can go to you, but hey, at least it is all going to a good cause.

Porting Ultra was a novel idea! I always wondered ever since the source was released why no one was working with it, as I seem to recall running Mario 64 FULL SPEED on my old AMD 400Mhz with 64 MB RAM, and a 16MB RAM VooDoo 3 2000 PCI. Infact I believe I have ran it on a computer with much lower specs than that eve, but it has been a long time ago. I still remember when it first came out, which was like RIGHT after the N64 hit the stores. Nintendo of course was not happy at all, and had the emu banned (banned ha ha he he). Glad they finally released the source after all these years, it has finally come of some good use, can't wait for the next update, and while your at it, why don't you wip out a port of DOOM Legacy, and Aliens V.S. Predator for us too (work slave work!!!).

As for the rest of you...

...sounds like you guys need your dipers changed, I can't imagine any of you are like that in real life, if that were so, you would definatly be walking around all black and blue permanently, that is if who ever got a hold of you decided to let you walk again at all.
