Yes you can mod it to add RAM but I believe the emulator has to be writen to accept and use the extra ram which I dont believe this one does.  I could be wrong though.

A) Ram at this point is not an issue. The Emulator just can't emulate those 32mb roms.

B ) The only emulator worth soldering the extra 64mb (XBOX specefic ram), would be mame to play the NEOGEO roms like Mark of the Wolves, KOF 2k-3.

C) The only n64 roms that would require an extra 64mb to run are Resident Evil 2 (64mb), Conkers Bad Fur Day (64mb), Ogre Battle (40mb), and Pokemon Stadium 2 (64mb).

Once again another useless topic.

A) The N64 Will never be able to emulate 32MB roms if it doesnt have the memory to  load them

B)That has nothing to do with PJ64X, which makes your post off topic

C) Yeah, I know that, and those are also some of the best games on the N64, so id be willing to buy the ram on ebay, solder it in, and use it if i meant that i could someday use those roms

I'm ofering suggestions to the scene, I searched, no one else had this idea, im trying o to help, your trolling.

Whoknew: Maybe you should A: look at your xbox and B: look at the many things that have been written about it before you make a statement that is just plain FALSE. It has been discussed and has been accomplished many times.

I guess Ill just keep the whole A, B, C theme going.

A) It can successfully load 32mb roms (OoT, PD anyone?), the plug-ins cannot successfully emulate them.

B ) It was on topic, it was about the idea of upgrading the ram, I was merely stating its only and sole purpose.

C) Those games actually arent good at all (Resident Evil is far superior on the DC and PSX), with the exception of Conkers which will be on XBOX anyway (LIVE!).

Thank you good night.

Alright krobby, this is gonna bother me.

What does your sig say?  I know the first part of your sig means "Move, peasants!" But I don't know what the second part means.  Something about I'm an imperial or something.... huh.gif

Move peasents, I'm here on official/imperial businness.

Something like that been a while.

Besides, extra ram would make it possible to play PD with the expansion pack loaded and thus make it fun!

I hate when people don't think when they say things.
You guys who said the extra RAM wouldn't help, have you played the emulator?  If you did, and selected a game, you would know that the choices of video plugins include a "normal" and a "32 Meg Optimized" plugin?  If you had taken a second and thought of that, you would realize that cutting the RAM required by the plugin sacrifices compatibility!  Why else would they include the "unoptimised" plugin if they both emulated the same things!  There is a good chance the plugins WOULD play them if they had more RAM to work with.  I'm thinking we should be able to disable sound, and therefore free up some of that sweet ram for OoT.
