i tried using that code on my contra game but it dosent work. i remember doing it at the screen that had all the words on it but the contra that i have on my xbox only goes to the title screen. am i using the right one or should i start looking for a new one.

also, i read the rules and it didnt say anything about discussing roms just not to post where and how to get them. if i've done something wrong then let me know.

why not just check gamefaqs instead of posting a thread?

And make sure you're using the correct NES 'B' and 'A', instead of just what is mapped to your xbox controllers 'A' and 'B'.  They may be different.

And dre74 is correct; you do not do 'B' 'A' twice, but just once.

Also, just hit 'select' at the end of the sequence for two players with the extra life.

Help Me!!!
I so want to play the original contra again.  I've got the FCE NES emulator.
3 questions:

1) What is the code for 50 lives on Contra?  Something like:  UP UP Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Select Start
2) When do I do it?  Do I start the game and then pause it and do it there?
3) Can you use codes with the emulators?
