Mame-x: B6 Compability List
« Reply #45 on: July 25, 2003, 01:53:00 PM »

I'm running Mame-o-X .71b and Side Arms doesn't work for me... sad.gif  Favorite game too.

I get a memory error:

16384kb requested, 16384kb free

And then it dumps me out to the emulator browser... sad.gif

Anyone else confirm this?

I guess there is no hope of Killer Instinct ever running on XBox Mame due to the 91.19 MB Hard Drive file that goes along with the ROM's?

EDIT: Hey, guess what! I just answered my own question:

X-men Vs StreetFighter (US) DOESNT WORK!
X-men (6player) works
X-men (4 player) works
X-men (2 player) works
Shinobi works

You have answered your own question,  wink.gif  One person, even with an insignificant life would not want to test every ROM, Chip in and test the ones not listed if you have the full MAME archive.

For neo-geo, use kawa-x. For cps-2, use fbax or kawa-x. I don't think zinc games are playable yet.

Doesn't really answer you question on why they don't show up though. =)

Press the B button, it will bring up a blue screen that loads ONLY Cps2/NeoGeo roms.

Hope that helps

Zasadar - with the recent releases of Mameox, Final Burn Alpha X, and Kawa-X, Mame-X has been made more or less obselete.  With only a few exceptions, MameoX can play all of the games that Mame-X does, as well as some others that Mame-X can't.  While it might have some preliminary Impact or Zinc drivers in it, you'd have to edit and recompile the source code to Mame-X to be able to use them.

Long story short, As of right now, there isn't really any emulator that runs games that would play on Zinc or Impact on the Xbox.
