He also needs to release the sources to stella, gnuboy, hugo, smsplus, dgen, and neopop all of which are under gpl license... if he hasn't done so, I'm shocked he hasn't released them already since normally you'd get slaughtered for breaking the gpl.

It was never a issue until now. Quite frankly the whole N64 contest seemed to spark this off. Now a bunch of guys are freaking out about it. I understand the situation, but its kinda like ... "omg the worlds been spinning for 3 billion years and now all of a sudden its coming to a end!"

Actually I take it back - he needs to release fully compilable sources to ALL his gpl'd ports. I know you may not see it as serious Iriez but gpl violations are taken v.seriously *especially* by the orig. authors, and please don't say its up to them to complain since thats not true at all. My understanding of the gpl even goes as far to say that just src patches aren't good enough - he needs to release srcs where anyone can download them and using their xdk compile them from scratch to create a binary as that which has been spread illegally.

Whoever knows him please mention it all to him..

Dude, Are you ever gonna be fuckin happy?  Every damn thread i read it has your horseshit all over it.  I'm not flaming but come on.  If you don't like the XBox Scene, Go the hell home back to your DC Boyz.  I'm sure you are terribly missed there.  Hell i bet none of the DC boyz has had a migrane since you came here.  All i know is everytime i see your name i get a headache before i even read the shit you post.

I can understand your point to an extent.  The point i'm trying to make is that everyone has heard your message.  It's not just gonna turn around overnight.  Fact of the matter is you are beating a dead horse here.  Ya great you are Godly with your respect to laws and morality, great we understand you are some angel sent here to turn us all around from our "evil" ways.  Just give it a rest.  XPort is workin to fix the things you are constantly crying about.  So tuck your skirt in and relax a bit and have fun like the rest of us.  The only reason i bought an XBox was for all this shit.  if it were all Legal, it wouldn't be as much fun.

Just ease up a bit, it seems like every thread in the forum has a post from you saying, "so and so ignored the GPL," or "so and so is using illegal XDK"  it gets old and i'm sure most of the other people on here are sick of your crying too.  Yeah it is harder to build an emu than to port it whoopitydoo.  incase you didn't realize this is an XBOX forum not a pc forum.  I personally don't give a shit if it was hard to build the EMU for the pc, all i care is that it makes it to my box.

There is a lot of good discussion going on in the thread right now, and I find it to be very healthy.

But do we really need the poll from the evidently-uninformed original poster?  Poll deleted, thread intact.

Lets all shut up and give credit where credits due, to the company that made the fucking console, i mean people are always like yeah go deviance u gave us this cool game yeah thanks so much for this game, how about thanks rockstar or whoever for the game. yeah the person who made the emulator did lots of work, but we seem to miss the most important person, Nintendo, Sony, MS, and the rest.

Thank them for making a product to profit from?  I suppose you have writen letters to the toilet paper companies after wiping your ass with their product as well?

no but we praise these emulator programers, wich yeah i agree there great. but then he gets pissed when we praise the porters, well shouldnt we start at the top of the chain? liek the companies that create these products that we are badly trying to pirate? i mean lets not be ignorant 99% of the people are playing games that they dont own on em.
