
Mario 64 and some other 8MB ROMs worked fine for me. Try reinstalling it again, I guess.
Some early ROM size compatibility test results: all 8MB ROMs I have run fine; a 12MB Mario Kart ROM ran stably with some big graphical glitches; a 16MB Super Smash Bros ROM ran stably through the menus but crashed within a few seconds of the fight starting; a 32MB Zelda OoT ROM which flat out wouldn't load; and a 32MB URA Zelda ROM (the new Master Quest one) which wouldn't load either.
